but have different expectations. When engaged on the path of change their

response strategies get specific.

These are the conclusions drawn from the study Economic prospects in Romania in 2016 conducted

among 400 decision makers from 14 industries.

1) Turnover - 42% of Romanian companies predict a significant increase, between +10% and over

+30%, of their turnover in 2016 compared to 39% of FDIs, while 51% of Romanian companies expect

a growth rate between +1% and +10% in 2016 compared with 53% of FDIs.

2) Profit - 34% of Romanian companies predict a significant increase, between +10% and over +30%, of their profit in 2016 compared with 30% of FDIs,

while 58% of Romanian companies expect a growth rate between +1% and +10% in 2016

compared to 56% of foreign companies.

3) Investments - 32% of both Romanian and foreign companies predict a significant increase, between +10% and +31%, of their investments in 2016, while 53% of Romanian companies expect the growth rate between +1% and +10% in 2016

compared to 43% for FDIs.

4) Number of employees - 15% of the Romanian companies foresee a significant growth rate, between +10% and +30%, in their number of employees in 2016 compared to 21% of foreign companies, while 56% of

Romanian companies predict a growth rate in their number of employees between +1% and +10% in 2016

compared to only 50% of FDIs.

5) Consumption - 68% of Romanian companies expect consumer demand to "grow" in the next 12 months compared with 60% of foreign companies, while 31% of Romanian companies expect demand

to "remain the same" or "decrease" compared with 40% of foreign companies.
