The importance of lunch and rest breaks can not be underestimated. Working with children is tiring and breaks help teachers to recharge and refresh themselves.
Employees are strongly encouraged to leave their classroom for their meal breaks.
Employees on meal or rest breaks are not permitted to interfere with other employees who are continuing to work.
Scheduling for breaks can be very tight; please remember to leave and return on time.

This practices crosses a professional line.
It is almost always detrimental to quality care!
Children can’t separate teacher from babysitter and is frustrating
for them.
Should you wish to earn extra money babysitting, find clients
outside of your school.
