RE:Volunteer™

For Volunteer Management

RE:Volunteer manages all aspects of your volunteer programme. Conveniently track the days and hours

volunteers are available to work, log volunteer qualifications, keep time sheets and assign jobs in one easy-

to-use system. Increase the efficiency of your volunteer programme by matching assignment needs with

volunteers who have the right skills, availability and experience. Use the numerous RE:Volunteer reports and

summaries to track past and current volunteer hours, find the volunteers who meet award level requirements,

print job assignment lists, and much more.

Inductees

If your organisation requires new volunteers to submit medical information, attend orientation or take a

training class prior to actively volunteering, you can track them as “inductees” until they qualify for volunteer

status. Easily view the status of each inductee’s requirements in the system and generate reminder letters if

they fall short.

Volunteer Management

With RE:Volunteer, organising your volunteer work force is simple. Classify a constituent in The Raiser’s Edge®

as a volunteer and track information specific to his or her volunteer role. Define and assign types of volunteers

specific to your organisation, such as data entry workers, solicitors and web designers. For volunteers who

have more than one role in your organisation, assign multiple volunteer types. You can keep specific volunteer

interests, such as “enjoys working with children” or “prefers outdoor events” and use these interests to assign

jobs. You can also quickly access an emergency contact name and phone number, medical information,

special needs as well as vehicle information.

For Volunteer Management

Job Assignments

Establishing job assignments is quick and easy. Specify job start and end dates, the type of volunteer

preferred, minimum age requirement, and more. Keep specific volunteer qualifications for the assignment

such as “word processing skills helpful, but not necessary”.

Match volunteers to job assignments. You can search for jobs from the Volunteer record or find volunteers

from the Job record. Use volunteer information — such as volunteer type, availability and interests, skills and

experience, courses and training, medical information and other special needs — to find the perfect volunteer for

the task. With the optional RE:Event® for Event Management module, you can assign volunteers to your events.

Mandates

Easily track community service volunteers mandated to serve your organisation by a court or agency.

Keep the number of hours mandated, the number of hours worked and court/agency information in the

RE:Volunteer record. You can also designate which jobs qualify for mandated volunteer time.

Time Sheets

Store volunteer hours worked at job assignments on convenient time sheets within RE:Volunteer. Enter hourly

wage information and calculate an estimated value of the time worked for internal and external reporting

purposes. Save additional time by entering Time Sheets for groups of volunteers or by job assignment, rather

than one at a time.

Awards

With RE:Volunteer, you can build a history of service and reward your volunteers for their commitment to your

organisation. Track past awards, as well as the hours needed for the next awards level. Use this feature to

recognise those with long-term service to your organisation — such as presenting a silver pin to volunteers

with 500 hours of service.

Summary

The Volunteer Summary on the volunteer record gives you a snapshot view of the history of the volunteer

with your organisation, beginning with the first day of service. Quickly view the number of years of service, the

number of hours served each year, year-to-date totals and a cumulative total.

Volunteer Reports

RE:Volunteer reports organise and analyse your data, giving you detailed and summary information to better

manage your volunteer force. Some examples of RE:Volunteer reports include:

•• The Skills and Experience Report lists your volunteers with descriptions of their skills and

experience, skill levels and licence information.

•• The Volunteer Job Assignment Schedule lists volunteers and their assignments with detailed

information — including the volunteer’s name and telephone number, the date of the assignment, and

the assignment start and end times.

•• The Courses and Training Report lists volunteers by courses and training, including the dates the

volunteer was enrolled, the instructor’s name and certificate information.

•• The Volunteer Match List allows a match between volunteers, specific job requirements and date

availability.

•• The Job Assignment Summary provides an easy-to-view chart that shows a breakdown of the hours

worked at each assignment. View information for up to twelve periods.

•• The Volunteer Awards Report lists volunteers with each award level reached. Volunteers are listed

with the minimum amount of service to receive the award, the number of hours worked, the award

given and the presenter of the award.

•• The Future Awards Report provides a list of volunteers and the awards they are due, as well as the

hours worked and the cumulative hours worked.

•• The Time Sheet Report lists volunteers by assignment with detailed information about the hours

worked at each assignment and the value of the volunteer’s time. For each volunteer, the report totals

the hours for the period and prints a year-to-date total and a cumulative total.

•• The Volunteer Summary Report lists volunteers with the date they began their service, information

about the last job assignment worked, the hours worked in the previous years, a year-to-date total and

the cumulative total.
