This workshop is aimed at those new to rheology or those who have used, or are using, viscometer and would like to learn more about rheology.

By the end of this work shop, you will be able to:

Understand basic rheology theory and speak its languageDesign meaningful experiments to characterize your samplesHave an overview of the wide range of solutions and applications provided by rheometer and its accessories

The one day workshop includes both theoretical and practical sessions.

Trainer:

Nigel FoongRheology Application Specialist

Mr. Nigel Foong joined Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman as Assistant Laboratory Manager for 3 years. He served in laboratory management and look over analytical instruments of material characterization in spectroscopy (FT-IR, UV-Vis, Polarimeter, Fluorescence, AAS), thermal analyser (TGA, DSC) and X-ray Diffractometer (XRD).

In assisting lab practicals, he also demonstrate basic operations of HPLC and GC-FID system. He also undergo training as a radiation worker and practice occupational health and safety in educational laboratory.

With his varied experience in materials characterization, Nigel is currently with Anton Paar as the application specialist supporting customers in rheology and microwave sample preparation.
