Quality
A wide range for the best choice
Top Quality
• High-quality raw materials
• Mixture of three types of flour from our region
• No preservatives
• Naturally leavened for at least 24 hours at
around 10 degrees
Every day we provide our customers with a highly digestible and
extremely soft product. Because in order to be good, products
must be made lovingly and slowly! This is why our piadinas are
inimitable!
Exclusive cooking method
• Eco-friendly electric cooking at four different
temperatures:
The piadinas are turned four times during cooking, ensuring
that they are evenly cooked. The first two temperatures are
moderate and essentially seal the product’s porosity. The
subsequent higher temperatures make the piadinas puff up and
flake, ensuring that they have the smoothness and softness that
set our products apart.
Nature’s friend
• We use paper packaging with a low environmental
impact, distinguishable by the paper.
• FSC-certified paper (from sustainably managed
forests).
• Our piadinas are made using 100% clean,
RECS-certified (wind and hydroelectric)
energy bought directly from the distributor.
• Solar energy systems are used throughout our
factory.
• We use eco-friendly cooking methods.
In-Store Tasting
Riccione Piadina offers an in-store tasting service with the support of branded stalls that are managed directly by our qualified staff members. Our service guarantees direct contact with the final consumer, which provides an added value that promotes the achievement of four key objectives:

Vegan ok
Organic
VEGAN OK is Italy’s most widely used standard for providing consumers with guarantees regarding specific ethical and environmental characteristics. It is a certification that is designed to meet the needs of people who follow a natural diet free from any animal-derived substances. In fact, products that carry the VEGAN OK brand do not contain any substances or components that are of animal origin or that directly and intentionally involve the killing, detention or exploitation of animals.
The most recent EURISPES data demonstrates that more and more consumers are choosing to adopt a vegetarian or vegan diet.
Riccione Piadina has always been aware of environmental, social and economic sustainability and has chosen to create a line of organic products that can:
• Guarantee 100% natural products: both during production and throughout all stages of the manufacturing process substances of mineral or natural origin are used, and the products are entirely free from fertilisers, herbicides and synthetic chemical preservatives. • Ensure even more respect for the environment and environmental balances, avoiding the excessive use of natural resources and preserving biodiversity.• Protect manufacturers: organic farming provides a more wholesome environment for those who live and work in the countryside.
PGI
BRC/IFSThe BRC and IFS standards are the most widely accepted international standards used by operators in the food industry to approve their own suppliers. Riccione Piadina is continually committed to safety, quality and compliance with the laws that regulate the agri-food industry. The main actions that we consistently implement are:
• Adoption of best practices.• Adoption of an HACCP system.• Adoption of a documented quality management system.• Standard monitoring of work environments, products, processes and staff.
We have also put strict agreements in place with our suppliers and conduct regular chemical, microbiological and organoleptic analyses in order to ensure the quality and safety of the raw materials we receive from our suppliers.
PGI stands for PROTECTED GEOGRAPHICAL INDICATION and is an EU-protected mark awarded to certain agricultural food products whose quality, reputation or other features are dependent on their geographical origin.
Riccione Piadina is a member of the Consorzio Piadina Romagnola and has played a significant part in the achievement of this recognition. On 4 November 2014 the Romagna Piadina was officially given PGI certification. This important recognition will make it possible to:
• Protect the local product, promoting the Romagna area.• Combat imitation products.• Defend its history and origins.• Promote Made in Italy products, including abroad.
Gluten free
FSCAs we are FSC-certified we are pleased to be able to declare that our packaging is produced using paper from sustainably managed forests, which provides environmental, social and economic benefits. We chose FSC because it is:
• Environmentally friendly: it protects and sustains natural communities and high conservation value forests.• Socially beneficial: it respects the rights of workers, communities and indigenous populations.• Economically sustainable: it promotes the creation of markets, adding value and creating fair access to benefits.
FSC is presented not only as a mark of quality and innovation, but also as a point of reference for legality and sustainability in the wood and paper industry, in accordance with the most up-to-date standards for the responsible management of forestry resources.
Coeliac disease is an autoimmune disorder that develops in genetically predisposed people following the consumption of gluten. Recent data from the “Annual parliamentary report on coeliac disease” indicates that at present 164,492 people in Italy have coeliac disease, with 600,000 people estimated to be susceptible to it. A strict and permanent gluten-free diet is the only treatment currently available for the disorder. We have created a Gluten-Free Riccione Piadina that is good, tasty, and suitable not only for people with coeliac disease, but also for anybody who wants to follow the new philosophy of a gluten-free diet.
Our Gluten-Free Riccione Piadina is also entered in the Italian national register of gluten-free dietetic products, which is supplied free-of-charge by Italy’s national health service via supplementary healthcare.
