Dear All,
At Rice many of us share a passion for food and all good things in life. This time we
have chosen to give you a few ideas and recipe inspirations along with the
introduction of all the new products.
Pernille Sommer who works in the Danish sales department has styled the food,
and we have really enjoyed choosing a few simple but funky and delicious
recipes for you.
Personally I get so much joy out of this beautiful and colourful Italian tableware, food
just looks better on these plates; my eyes are delighted so often, an avocado on the
orange plate, a fig on the mint plate, a tomato salad in the yellow bowl….
Simple but nice.
All items are hand made, hand dipped and hand painted in Italy – in beautiful
Tuscany. Such a treat to go there each time to work on new items.
Our idea with this tableware is mix and match – the possibilities are endless, you
can set a romantic table or a very bright and funky table according to your mood…..
The new solid colours for this season are orange, peacock blue and
turquoise. The look and the colours also go very well with our wide range of colourful

Foccacia:½ l water15g yeast1 spoon good quality olive oil One large pinch of salt Approx 700 g flour

Foccacia:
½ l. water15 g. yeast1 tblsp. good quality olive oil One large pinch of salt Approx. 700 g. wheat flour
Topping: 2 red onions 1 squashOlive oil Chili flakesLemon grindMaldon salt
Dissolve the yeast in cold water, add salt and olive oil, mix in the flour until you get a smooth surface – the dough must be a bit moist. Place in fridge for approx 12 hours.
Grease a pan with oil and flatten the dough into the pan with your hands. Place the thinly sliced onions and squash in a nice pattern – sprinkle with lemon grind, chiliflakes and Maldon salt. Drizzle with olive oil and place the bread to rise in a warm place. Once the bread has risen to approximately double size, press the vegetables down again. Bake in 200 degree oven for approx 20 to 30 minutes.
The smell of bread baking… I have been told that if you are trying to sell your house it is a good idea to make bread before people come to see it. The scent of freshly baked bread puts the mind into a great feel-good state, and makes you want to move in..
This foccacia is more than just a nice smelling “pretty face”... It’s delicious! You can vary with all sorts of vegetables you might have in stock.. mushroom, tomatoes…

Hot and Sweet Tigerprawns.Easy, yummy and good-looking. What more can you wish for?
TEACH ME TIGER...
400 g. prawns (preferably with shell)2 cloves of chopped garlic 1 tblsp. sambal oelek 2 tblsp. peanutoil (or other vegetable oil) 200 g. fresh spinach 4 tblsp. soy sauce
Heat the oil in a warm wok.Fry the chopped garlic, sambal oelek and the prawns – until the prawns turn orange. Pour the soy-sauce in and leave to simmer for approx. 4 minutes. Toss the washed and dried spinach leaves in just before serving – so they remain crisp.
Serve with rice or bread.

Beetroot PestoA perfect sandwichspread or dip for poultry, fish or just plain bread
Approx. ½ kg of cooked beetroot30 g. cashew nuts1 large clove of garlic20 g. parmesan cheese½ dl olive oil 1 tsp. balsamic vinegarSaltPepper
Mix all ingredients in a blender until smooth – add more oil if you wish..

VÆRD AT VIDE...Alle dele er håndmalede og derfor forekommer der en vis variation i farve samt dekoration – dette gør produktet unikt og specielt.
VÆRD AT VIDE...Hver del er glaseret efter dekoration – på nogle produkter vil du finde små huller i glaseringen. Dette kan ikke undgås – og har ingen effekt på produktets anvendelighed eller levetid.
GUT ZU WISSEN...Dass unsere italienische Geshirrserie aus Ton hergestellt wird – Ton is ein Naturproduktund mit der Zeit kann es im Gebrauch zu Sprenkeln kommen. Das ist ein Effekt des natürlichen Alterungsprozesses und macht einen Teil des Charmes aus.
GUT ZU WISSEN...Dass jedes einzelne Teil handbemalt wird und es darum zu leichten Abweichungen in Farbe und Ausführung kommt – aber genau das macht das Produkt einzigartig und besonderes.
GUT ZU WISSEN...Dass jedes Teil erst nach der Bemalung glasiert wird. Dabei entstehen an einigen Teilen winzige Löcher in der Glasur. Das lässt sich leider nicht vermeiden, birgt jedoch keine Gefahr für die Haltbarkeit des Produktes.
GOOD TO KNOW...Our Italian tableware is made of clay – clay is a natural product and over time a mottled appearance may occur on the items due to usage and the natural ageing process, which is all part of its charm.
GOOD TO KNOW...All the pieces are handpainted and because of this, every item varies slightly in colour and in its style of painting – this is what makes the product unique and special.
GOOD TO KNOW...Every item is glazed after the painting is done – on some items you will find small holes in the glazing. This can not be avoided - and it presents no danger to the durability of the product.
BON A SAVOIR...Notre vaiselle italienne est fabriquée à partir de matières premières telles que l’argile. Avec l’age, le produit se patine très légèrement ce qui fait partie de son charme.
BON A SAVOIR...Toutes les pieces sont peintes à la main. Ainsi une petite variation de couleur ou de style peut apparaître car chaque pièce est unique.
BON A SAVOIR...Le vernis qui est appliqué sur le produit après peinture peut comporter de minuscules trous. Ceux—ci ne presentent aucun danger quant à la durabilité du produit.
