The Pro C5200 series are digital colour cutsheet printers for the low to medium segment of the production market according to print volume.

These devices come with speeds of up to 80 pages per minute (ppm) and have the ability to print on a wide variety of media up to 360 gsm, delivering high-quality output, increased productivity, and reliability at affordable prices.

They feature a standard GWNX controller, however printing is also able to be controlled using the external Fiery E-24B or Fiery E-44B controller.

The Pro C5200S series can be divided into these categories based on print speed:

• Pro C5200S - 65 ppm• Pro C5210S - 80 ppm

These devices offer many new technology features, as well as mechanical innovations at prices that are much more affordable than before. They are especially suited to large commercial printers seeking to enter the digital colour production space or expand their hybrid offset-printing and digitial operations.

The Pro C5200S is a colour digital production printing device, providing copy, print, and scan functionality as standard. The Pro C5200S has a speed of 65 copies per minute (cpm) and an average copy vol-ume (ACV) of 20,000 copies per month. It comes with a number of technology improvements that provide high image quality, broad media handling, and improved usability. It supports paper sizes of up to SRA3++ (13” x 19.2”), 3-edges full bleed printing, 360 g/m² maximum paper weight, and up to 1,260 mm length banner paper. The Pro C5200S can be upgraded with either of two optional Fiery colour controllers, the E-24B (embedded) or E 44B (server). When combined with a Fiery controller, the device provides increased productivity, consistent high quality colour, and reduced printing costs. The Pro C5200S also supports a comprehensive choice of options to streamline the pro-duction printing process. The options include paper banks, standard finishers, booklet finishers, cover interposers, and a multi-folding unit.

PBM-m Trimmer Module 404981

The optional face Trimmer module trims the open side of the booklets, eliminating the “shingle effect” that can occur with multiple pages. For a professional look on booklets of more than 10 sheets (40 pages) the Trimmer is recommended. Air jets separate trimmed paper from the booklets. Automatic set up is enabled through the Booklet maker operator interface. Default trim length is 4.5mm. Trim length can be adjusted in 0.1mm increments from 1mm up to 25mm. The face trimmer module is powered from the main booklet maker unit. New features in the Trimmer Module The Trimmer can now support “multi cut” operation. This allows customers to create a 105 mm / 4.14” long booklet cut down from a larger sheet size. For the PBM500-m and PBM350-m This feature is only available in Hand feed mode or when the Cover Feeder is used in Feeder mode. For the standard PBM500/350 multi-cut operation can be run inline.

The Book Fold (square fold) module gives that finished, professional appearance to booklets which has become “state of the art”. Automatic set-up is enabled through the Booklet maker operator interface. The Book fold module is powered from the main unit. - Gives the booklet the appearance of a perfect bound book. - Square fold booklets take up less than 1/3 of the volume of ordinary booklets when stacked and they are easy to stack. - The square fold booklet has a printable spine making it easy to identify on a shelf with other books. - Copy shops charge a premium for a perfect bound booklet. The square fold module provides an opportunity to increase the margin and attract more customers. - Great opportunity for the print provider to differentiate their offering from traditional booklet making. - No special covers or other materials need-ed. - The Square Fold Module is better for the environment since there is no glue in the spine when disposing. - No odours from glue and no hot areas to get burned on. The optional cover feeder is located as an integrated part of the booklet maker unit and can feed covers up to 250gsm (140 lb index). Feed capacity is approximately 200 sheets (based on 80gsm/20 lb. paper). The cover feeder is powered from the PBM500 or PBM350 main unit. Plockmatic Cover Feeder is also compatible with the PBM500, PBM350, BK5030 and the BK5010e. Air/friction hybrid cover feeding system - feeds 140 lb. When attaching the PBM500-m or PBM350-m to the Pro C5200S or the Pro C5210S the RCT option can be included. The optional Plockmatic Rotate Crease Bleed Trim unit enables professional looking, full bleed trimmed and creased booklets on the Plockmatic 500-m / Plockmatic 350-m system. The PBM Rotate Crease Trimmer can be fitted with active anti-static bars that are available as an OPTION to overcome the high static charge that may appear when the environment is not climate controlled. - Supports faster turnaround for booklets by eliminating multiple offline process steps and improves Print for Pay revenue by adding value to finished book - The Crease function enhances book appearance by reducing or eliminating “cracking” of toner on the spine. It also provides a better fold on thicker stock. - The Bleed Trimmer trims the sides, or head and foot, sheet by sheet. Full engine speed is maintained to allow for high productivity. - The Rotate function enables sheets being printed in the most productive way allowing customers to take full advantage of the print engine’s potential. - The Rotate function also significantly reduces wear on the fuser belts in the printer usually seen when changing from booklet production between smaller sheet sizes (A4 or 8.1 x 11”) and larger sheet sizes A3, SRA3 or 11 x 17”, 12 x 18”. This wear is seen as excessive wear on the belt at the edge of smaller sheet sizes causing lines in the image of the larger sheet sizes. - The unit requires its own power outlet.

PBM-m RCT Cover Kit 404983

There will not be a PBM-m RCT available from the factory. If a customer wants to include the RCT module onto a PBM350-m or a PBM500-m one will order the standard PBM RCT (EDP code 404721) and then add a PBM-m RCT Cover Kit (EDP 404983) to complete the installation onsite. The PBM RCT is upgraded to a PBM-m RCT with the cover kit. Upgrade is done at install.

The rail unit is a moulded plastic rail-plate which sits under the booklet maker system and ensures correct alignment of the unit with the Ricoh finisher.
