After his retirement from an extended career in Major League Baseball, Jason’s passion for a better light became more than just a garage hobby when he started the search for the best light option while building his Polaris Ranger. When introduced to new innovative forward projecting LED technology, Jason realized this technology was a game changer in the offroad lighting industry. Everyone at the time thought the idea of a square and rectangular light would not fly. Despite the initial reactions of some around him, he began the challenge of building the company. In 2006, Jason turned his hobby into a business which later became Rigid Industries LED Lighting. In 2008, two partners came aboard and the three of them purchased the LED light bar company outright and began JST Performance, Inc. Jason Christiansen, Taylor Anderson and Seth Anderson were all friends who shared the thrill of speed and the need to kick up some dirt, and were now on a mission to make Rigid Industries a household name. In the early days you would see each of them building, packaging, selling and shipping the LED light bars. On any given day they did, and still do, have that hands on approach that ensures Rigid’s quality and designs stay a world leader in LED lighting technology. Later In 2008, the partners brought in Steve Adams who has the extensive engineering background and who is an avid offroad enthusiast himself. With the love of the sport, all the partners went to the Sand Sport Super Show in Southern California and quickly realized they had something very, very special. The people at the event appreciated their new technology and began to understand it.

As the company grew, Jason, Taylor, Seth and Steve focused on manufacturing, distribution, and sales. To help accomplish these goals, they brought on a fifth partner, Dave Davis, who helped take Rigid Industries to a whole new level in the sales department and develop a worldwide distribution model. In 2013, Rigid Industries added a second, much larger manufacturing plant in Gilbert, AZ and now has over 150 loyal employees. With the growth, Inc. Magazine recognized Rigid Industries as the 150th Fastest Growing Private Company in the entire United States for 2013 and 1st in LED lighting manufacturing. Rigid Industries continues to be the solution in LED lighting and providing excellence in innovation and into the future.

We use state-of-the-art technology in-house for the concepts, design, manufacturing, product testing, assembly, kitting, quality control, post-production quality control procedures, inspections, and shipping. We go the distance by requiring extra testing and certifications for heavy-duty vibration, dust, moisture, and corrosion resistance on lights and bracketry. This ensures that we have a product that we can stand behind no matter the industry or application they are used for.

Currently, we have two locations in the greater Phoenix Metro area with a combination of 64,000 square feet. Our highly skilled and motivated workforce takes pride in the fact that the LED lighting products are built in the USA, not only to help build our local economy, but also to remain hands-on, ensuring the highest level of quality you’ve come to expect from Rigid Industries products.

RDS Output Technology™ requires a new way to measure projected light.

Continuous Arc Intensity™ (CAI) is the new way to measure intensity. Since the array of LEDs aren’t pointing in the same direction the SAE methodology to measure intensity doesn’t apply. We still measure intensity, but it is spread over an arc at a constant intensity.

Continuous Arc Width™ (CAW) is the width of continuous intensity as shown in the CAI. This is measured in degrees of light projected. On a 54” think of it like a 46 degree wide spot beam.

Continuous Arc Distance™ (CAD) is the distance using SAE methodology to measure .25 lux as max beam distance. The difference? “Arc Distance” is measured over the entire width of the CAI, not just the center of the beam.

The Dually and D2 lights are the brightest auxiliary lightsavailable to date. While small and compact, these 3”x3” LED lights produce over 3000 lumens. Usually mounted on handle bars and UTV A-pillars.

Half the size of the D-Series and SRQ-Series but still projects an intense amount of light. Kit includes a single bolt mounting system that allows it to be mounted to nearly anything.

This is the linear version of the D-Series. It has the same light output more fitting for applications that cannot fit larger lights.
