2017 November Meeting
November 20, 2017
Called to Order: by Board President Debbie Sharp at 6:02 PM. Board Members present - Jack Barlow, Barclay Bowden, and
Cliff McKinney, Sr.
Approval of Minutes: A motion was made by Barclay Bowden, seconded by Cliff McKinney to approve the Minutes from the
Property Owner’s Association Board meeting held October 16, 2017. Motion carried.
Guests: Ron Rivers, a member of the Lake Committee. Mr. Rivers discussed the need to make repairs to the boat tie up area.
Tim Smith, Lake Committee Chairman. Mr. Smith provided an annual report of the committee activities for 2017.
Kenna Cassat, Kids Social Committee Chairman. Ms. Cassat discussed the committee activities for 2017.
Treasurer’s Report: by Cheryl Etheridge, Bookkeeper
The Treasurer’s Report included the following financial reports:
Monthly Profit & Loss, October 2017;
YTD Profit & Loss Budget vs Actual, October 2017;
YTD Profit & Loss Prev Year Comparison, October 2017; and
Balance Sheet as of October 31, 2017.
Motion made by Cliff McKinney to accept Treasurer’s Report, seconded by Jack Barlow. Motion carried.
Manager’s Report: by Stacy Cyz
Delinquent accounts as of October 2017 are $2,134.01. A decrease of $103.18 from October 2017.
The mailbox at 5528 Lexington was repaired the week of October 16th.
Deb Oltmans, Adult Social Committee Chairman, resigned as of October 19th.
The tennis court trash cans were recently stolen. The replacement cost was $54.04

Some builders are starting homes in the neighborhood prior to the completion of all paperwork and approval from the ACC.
Motion made by Cliff McKinney, seconded by Jack Barlow to impose a $500 Administration fee to the property owner for
not turning in construction plans on time. Motion carried.
The Board approved keeping the Springhill gate open during the work on Highway 5 at Waterfall Way.
Old Business –
Cliff McKinney moved to accept Northshore Phase 4 Bill of Assurance as revised with new square footage requirements for
homes in the HLE POA, subject to the revised Bill of Assurance being recorded at the City of Benton. Motion seconded
by Jack Barlow. Motion carried.
Motion made by Jack Barlow, seconded by Barclay Bowden, to accept Northshore Phase 5 Bill of Assurance into the HLE
POA, subject to the Bill of Assurance being revised to state under Section 38, the “POA will have no responsibility to
maintain any drainage easements or drain ways” and recorded at the City of Benton. Motion carried.
Adjournment: A motion was made to adjourn the November 20, 2017 POA Board Meeting, seconded, and carried at 6:58 PM.

Statements are emailed to all property
owners who have a balance on their account the 1st business
day of every month.
If you are not receiving a POA statement monthly via email
you need to contact the POA office to verify we have the cor-
rect email address on file.

you are still responsible for the dues & any late fees

Ladies Bible Study
We will be starting a new neighborhood ladies bible study on January 17th. We
will be studying "Church of the Small Things, Making a Difference Right Where
you Are" by Melanie Shankle. The study guide follows our DVD study. There's
also a book but it doesn't follow along with the DVD but the material is related
and enjoyable to read. You can purchase it at Lifeway, Mardels, Amazon, etc.
January 17th we will begin our new study and it will be at my house (5916 Wall
Street). The remainder dates are Feb.21,Mar. 21, & Apr. 25 . Please email me

Society, in Bauxite.
Please read all details before calling to make your appointment.
You can call or come by shelter to make your appointment. Phones are going to be super busy, please cut
stories short when making appointments. Shelter has one paid person working from 12:00 to 4:00 pm,
Wednesday through Saturday booking these appointments. This is a wonderful opportunity for people
needing to get their pets fixed and we are very thankful to the Lancaster Law Firm. We expect these sur-
gery slots will book up very fast. If you currently have an appointment booked with us, we will honor this
special- do not call and cancel your appointment to rebook at this discounted price.
This is for healthy dogs & cats. They must be at least 8 weeks old and under 5 years of age. They must
weigh at least 2 pounds and not over 80 pounds.
Please make sure your pet has nothing to eat or drink after midnight, the night before surgery.
The $5.00 is the portion of the surgery fee you are paying. All other services available are at regular price.
Shots are available at $10.00 per shot. You just mark what services you want when you drop off your pet.
