The Shady Grove Middle School electives program a unified arts quarterly rotation for all 6th grade students and a choice of one year long electives option.

• Lunches are generally separated by grade level
• Classes are full year or quarterly (Q1, Q2, Q3, Q4) in sixth grade
• All periods are about 50 minutes in length with a 4 minute passing time

Outdoor Education
All 6th graders in Montgomery County attend outdoor education every year. Is is a three day, two night outdoor learning experience filled with fun, adventure, nature, & friends.
In Montgomery County 6th graders may not participate in Interscholastic sports…
HOWEVER… at Shady Grove, students may participate in after school clubs and Intramural
sports such as:Extended Day Programs, Just Girls Group,
Homework Club, Computer Gaming, SGA (Student Government Association) and many more!
