Wooden posts and gate are installed at the entrance to Cricket Club. An all weather combination padlock/metal latch is used to secure the gate when not in use. The gates open towards the Common away form the road and can be locked open. Wooden posts with a metal bar prevent vehicular access to the Picnic Area. The bar is secured with a padlock. They also mark the route of the nature trail and horseride around the Common. The tops of the horseride posts are repainted white regularly to ensure You can see one post to the next. Some have notices about the horseride route attached. The nature trail posts have waymarkers attached and on specific posts, small, `watch out for golfers’ signs.
