Soon u season will upon us. People still die from complications of the u (36,000 last year). Sothere is a lot of fear about getting the u and also about getting u shots.

Some people cannot take the u shot because of allergic reactions to them, and some justdo not want to get a shot, period. Well, the great news is there are inexpensive alternatives thathave worked very well in the past. Take Vitamin C 500mg three or four times per day. Preventiveremedies include: Herbs, Oils, and Homeopathics. Echinacea/goldenseal at the onset of coldsymptoms or taken every day, day 1-25 of each month with 5 days off, seems to work quite

well. Elderberry defense, Bronchial Formula, and VSC all help with viral infections in general. TheEssential Oil thieves in lozenges or tooth paste will help kill the u virus. Silver Shield has some anti-

viral properties. Homeopathic, Oscillococcinum 200 C (Six little granules once per week if u is inthe area) and Inuenzinum 30C (once per week initially and one daily if you have been exposed)are excellent preventers of inuenza.

If you get the u, there is good treatment using Oscillo 200 C, one vial of granules twice per day until better, usually 6 doses. Symptoms are body aches, fever, cough, runny nose, and headache. Gelsemium 30 C is good for u with fever, chills, body

aches, dull feeling, and extreme weakness. Arsenicum 30 C is good for u with vomiting, diarrhea, headache, restlessness and anxiety. Byronia 30 Cis good for slow onset, severe headache, irritable, wants to be left alone.Belladonna 30 C is good for rapid onset, very high fever, headache, red face, dilated pupils.

So do not be afraid, you can prevent and treat inuenza without gettinga u shot. Remember never use aspirin containing products when you think

you have the u. It may cause a serious Reyes Syndrome-like complication inadults and children.
