As you know, the Penners are the proud parents of Matisyahu, a 23 year old superstar who struggles with autism. Rabbi Penner will be sharing his family’s powerful story with an eye towards educating the community as to how to best integrate special needs individuals and families into the community. Drasha: Standing in their Shoes: What Special Needs Individuals and Families Need from You Shabbat afternoon Oneg*: Disabilities in the Jewish Community: One Family’s Journey *Please note this community-wide program will start 90 minutes before Mincha and end 20 minutes prior to Mincha. Riverdale Y and City Harvest Food Drive For Pesach Has Begun The Riverdale Y in partnership with City Harvest has organized a food drive in advance of Passover, collecting the most needed items for the holiday. The food collected is distributed to Kosher food pantries throughout the city. This year the drive will take place from March 11 through April 15, and the Y will act as a donation site.
