What is NITAAC?
NIH Information Technology Acquisition & Assessment Center (NITAAC)

What are Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs)?
Government Wide Acquisition Contracts are:
• Task order or delivery order contracts for Information Technology
• Utilized to streamline acquisition under FAR 16.505
• Not subject to the Economy Act (FAR Subpart 17.502-2(b))
NITAAC is one of three Federal agencies designated by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) as an Executive Agent to administer GWACs
• Pursuant to section 5112(e) of the Clinger-Cohen Act (1996)

These two contract vehicles allow you to purchase any Information Technology (IT) services and solutions
Each GWAC has a $20B ceiling, a 15 year period of performance and a 10 year ordering period
Flexible pricing arrangements including: • Fixed-Price (FP), Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF), Cost-Plus- Award-Fee (CPAF), Cost-
Plus-Incentive-Fee (CPIF), Labor Hour (LH) and Time-and-Materials (T&M) • Flexibility to use “hybrid” contract types to fit the needs of unique requirements
Task orders may be awarded in 30 days or less
• Customer sets schedule based on needs and complexity of requirements
