Primary care physi- cians are minimally exposed to the continual influx of new research data, recent studies, and emerging disease states and lack expert mentoring to be able to improve their practice performance and patient outcomes. By providing the latest findings and technological advances, the Conference will allow healthcare professionals to advise their patients in order to improve patient care for improved future health. The faculty for this Conference will address practice gaps important to the daily clinical practices of primary care healthcare professionals and will provide methods to improve clinical competen- cies, as well as review, update and improve knowledge of treating a number of diseases, disorders, and general practice management issues which include but are not limited to valley fever, rheumatology, risk management, electronic health records meaningful use, radia- tion oncology, dermatology, cerebrovascular disease, heart disease and diabetes. The content of this educational activity was devel- oped based on data collected from previous Conference attendees, previous outcomes measurement tools, the Planning Committee’s perceptions of needed improvements in primary care diagnoses and treatments, national and local statistical information and the review of current trends and technology in medical literature. Learning Objectives Participants will be able to: analyze current issues in primary care; review new guidelines for treatment of a number of disease states and disorders; discuss cases regarding new treatment options and technological advances; evaluate methods of risk management and meaningful use in current medical practices; identify new treatment methods for disease states; properly advise patients using the most up to date clinical and scientific information; expand knowledge of new disease states, their diagnosis and treatment; examine case stud- ies, patient outcomes, research results and best practice guidelines for use in clinical practice. Continuing Medical Education Credit Tucson Osteopathic Medical Foundation is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) to sponsor continu- ing medical education for physicians. The American Osteopathic Association designates this continuing medical education activity for a maximum of 30 hours of Category 1A Credit – 26.0 for the general session and 4.0 for the Bonus Workshops. Per the AOA, 2 additional hours of Category 1A credits may be earned by DOs who complete a post-conference outcomes assessment. This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsor- ship of The University of Arizona College of Medicine at the Arizona Health Sciences Center and Tucson Osteopathic Medical Foundation. Conference Description

You may remit a check payable to the Tucson Osteopathic Medical Foundation (TOMF) with the registration form from the website or the form in this brochure. You can also charge your fees on VISA, MasterCard or American Express, just complete the required information on the registration form and mail it to TOMF at 3182 N. Swan Rd., Tucson, AZ, 85712. You may also fax the form to (520) 299-4609.

Registration Cancellation and Refund Policy

All requests for refunds must be in writing. Requests postmarked by April 20, 2012 will entitle registrant to a full refund less a $60 processing fee. Refund requests will not be available after this date.
