Dear Campus Visitor:
We have confirmed your reservation for our information session and we are looking forward to
your visit to campus. Please refer to your confirmation email for the scheduled date and time of
your visit.
Thank you for using our electronic visit request process. Attached you will find a campus map,
directions to campus, phone numbers for area accommodations, and a list of academic department
contacts.
**For Weekday Visitors** When arriving on campus please stop at the Information Booth to pick up your parking pass. Let the booth attendant know you are meeting with Admissions, they will provide you with a permit and direct you to the visitor parking area adjacent to the Bausch & Lomb Center, Parking Lot E. The Admissions Office is on the second floor of the Center.
**For Saturday Visitors** A parking pass is not required on Saturdays and the Information Booth will be closed. Please proceed directly to Parking Lot E. The Admissions Office is located on the second floor of the Bausch and Lomb Center, adjacent to the parking lot.
A unique part of your visit to RIT may include an individual meeting with an academic
department representative from one or more of our undergraduate programs. A list of department
contacts is included in this confirmation packet. If you are interested in an academic department
meeting you must arrange this appointment prior to your arrival on campus. These meeting
times may be limited due to faculty teaching schedules. Academic department meetings are not
available during Saturday visits.
If you have questions about your visit, please contact our campus visit coordinator at
585-475-6736, Monday through Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm EST. Check out events happening at RIT http://events.rit.edu/ and the Rochester area here http://www.visitrochester.com/. We look forward to seeing you!
Sincerely,
Marian Nicoletti
Director of Undergraduate Admissions
The RIT campus is located in Rochester, New York. The third largest city in New York State, Rochester is on Lake Ontario,
about midway between Niagara Falls and Syracuse and within easy driving distance to Toronto.
The Rochester area is serviced by Greyhound and Trailways bus companies as well as the Amtrak train line. The Greater
Rochester International Airport is home to most major airlines, including USAir, United, Delta, American, JetBlue, AirTran
and others. Taxis are available at the airport, train and bus stations. RIT is also a stop on Route 24 of the Regional Transit
Service, the area's mass transit bus system. RIT's main campus is five miles from both the airport and the NY State
Thruway (Interstate 90).
Directions to RIT:
From the Airport: Turn right onto Brooks Ave., then a quick right onto I-390 South. From 390, take the next exit
(Scottsville Rd.) and turn right at the end of the ramp. Drive for approximately three miles, then turn left onto Jefferson
Rd. (Route 252). Proceed east a short distance to campus (on the right).
From the NYS Thruway: Take Exit 46 and proceed North on I-390 to Exit 13 (Hylan Dr.). Take a left onto Hylan Dr. and
continue north to Jefferson Rd. (Route 252), then take a left at the Jefferson Rd. intersection. You will travel approximately
½ mile, passing South Town Plaza. Immediately after passing the Radisson Hotel, turn left onto Lowenthal Rd. Follow
Lowenthal Rd. to the end and take a right onto Andrews Memorial Dr.
