TorqProveTM
Torque Prove TorqProve™ is a PowerFlex® 755
drive feature that is intended for applications where proper coordination between motor control and a mechanical brake is required.
Can be used in any application where coordination between the drive and the mechanical brake is required.
Lifting applications include: Cranes Hoists Material handling lifts (vertical
conveyors) Automatic Storage and Retrieval
Systems (ASRS) Palletizers

Brake Proving
9
Brake Proving The drive also verifies that the
mechanical brake has control of the load before the releasing drive control.
After the drive sets the brake, motor movement is monitored to ensure the brake can hold the load.
Requires and Encoder

Load Float
10
Zero Speed Float Time Sets the dwell time between drive at
zero speed and brake set.
Useful in applications were multiple moves occur within short time periods.
Prevents brake chatter
Improve Cycle Times
Requires an Encoder

Micro Positioning
11
Micro Positioning Select Sets the speed command to a pre-
defined percentage while the drive is running.
Useful in positioning applications such as roll positioning, or machine maintenance.
