I spent three days completely paralyzed by how many people i wanted to dedicate before deciding just to dedicate everyone because i didn't want anyone to be left out

Dedication

You guys know who you are and why i am grateful for you. You know exactly whyI hope you all enjoyed the fancy spiral things I put on the letters. It was the best way I could think of to show you how very, very serious I am about my gratitude - Allie Brosh,Hyperbole and a Half 2013

I wish I were a butterfly.wouldn’t life be swell. If I were a butterfly.it would all go well.If there were any problems.I could just fly away.If only I was free.like a butterfly would be.Wouldn’t life be so amazing.I could go anywhere I pleasedto the lowest corner of the earth.to the highest one in the heavens above.but I am not a butterflyso I can only dream. 2

It was a hot yet cool day,we were all hard at work,

when the sun decided to play hide and seek behind the cloud.

I could see the clouds getting darker, but I heard the thunder in the distance, I grabbed my soaking wet bag that fell, in a

puddle. And I started to run towards home,

I felt the rain drops dripping on my, face drip, drip, drip

I kept running until I fell face first in a pile of mud.

I smelled worse than a skunk on a bad dayI finally got home

got cleanand ended the day eating with my family a nice and warm cinnamon apple pie with a

big scoop of french vanilla ice cream

Page 15: Rojer poetry

Walked through the entrance after having breakfast.

with some friends I met on craigslistjust meeting them in real life and they were nice

and cool.they even invited me to hangout in their pool.

I said “Another day,now lets enjoy the fair”where they have music, candy, and prizes to

share.we danced and had a blast.

with music from our past.sometimes people from craigslist appear to be

weird or could be murderersbut not these guys they just liked to eat burgers...and they were also burglars

Pat away the dust

Allusion 11

Page 17: Rojer poetry

I'm as shy as a stray fawn looking for its unknown mother

I'm as weird as wedding without a priestBut I'm okay with that

People think I'm strange and oddPeople don't know me I walk as a ghost

When people do see me they talk behind my back

But I just shake it off as if I was patting my sweater to remove the dust

I like who I am I like being me I'm differentAs a blue butterfly in a garden of yellow

butterfliesBeing wierd is sometimes okay

Just being yourself is even better

Optimistic olivia. . . .

Sometimes i'm happy but not today

Today is the worst day ever.

I have so much work to do .

It will take me years to finish all of this

homework.

I will die finishing this homework.

Sometimes I feel the teachers work together

to make us miserable.

like lets say mr.johns walks in the teacher

break room and starts talking to mr.stevens.

mrs stevens says “Hey,john guess what I

am giving my kids a huge pop quiz

tomorrow” then mr.johns says to mr.

stevens “awesome I am giving them a take

at home test where the answers aren't

online, they actually have to read.” then ms.

amanda walks in “well I am giving them an

assignment where they have 10 minutes to

prepare a presentation to present” awesome

right wrong then they hold hands and say

“Teachers Unite” 16

crackswould thee heart mend thine and scratch

the hurt spineAncient artifacts are old mean gets back

a note I wished there had placed in hands mine

a song of love our hearts in thee if thou were old school like an odd boom

box would you defy the law and be jailed soonto what ends I would go to break the lockslike my thumping hearts my song love beat

melody meant for the blues ment defeat 18
