ROLE OF EDUCATION IN MODERNIZATION OF SOCIETY

Every change in society brings about the crisis, criticism and reform of education sys-tem. Development of science, engineering and technology requires that education responds to the requirements of modern society. Education implies adopting sys-tems of knowledge and value as well as developing skills and habits necessary for the members of society to perform and act successfully in new social circumstanc-
es. In this respect, the objective of the Conference is to review the role of education in the processes of modernization of society. Our intention is to deliberate the following issues at the Conference: particularities of different education levels in achieving the current goals of social development; features of education system (for example fairness, equality, inclusion, efficiency, effectiveness, connection with labour market, etc.) that contribute to moderniza-tion of society; relationship between education and society as perceived by different protag-onists within education process (decision makers, educators, preschool children/primary and secondary school students/university students, family); the role of upbringing in creating the value system in modern society.

The Conference venue is the Teacher Education Faculty, University of Belgrade, 43 Kraljice Natalije Street, October 11, 2019.
The application for participation in the Conference with the abstract in English language, in accordance with the form provided, is to be submitted no later than Jun 15, 2019 at the following link. The authors shall be notified on abstract approval by September 1, 2019, af-ter the review. The abstracts approved will be published in the Compendium in Serbian and
English before the Conference.
The Conference will be certified as a form of professional development of employees in education.
Participation feeThe fee for participation in the Conference is to be paid no later than October 1, 2019. The payment of participation fee is a precondition for the abstract to be published in Compen-dium. Participation fee is paid by an abstract.
For participants from Serbia, the participation fee is RSD 6.000,00. The fees can be paid in the following ways:
1. Payments by physical persons:The scanned confirmation of the participation fee payment is to be sent to e-mail address: [email protected]. The fee for participation at the Conference is to be paid no later than October 1, 2019 at:Current account no. 205-67149-13; Recipient: Institute for Educational Research, Belgrade, Dobrinjska 11/III; Payment purpose: Participation at 24th Conference.
2. Payments by legal entities:Please send the invoicing data to e-mail address [email protected]. The in-voicing data should include: the participants’ first and last name, name of the Institution, address of the Institution and tax identification number of the Institution.
For the participants from abroad the participation fee is 50 EUR. The instructions for pay-ment will be sent to participants directly to the e-mail provided.
