From Mr. Kennedy Canada 150 T-Shirts: The LIFE IS GOOD garment company is providing a school fundraising program that celebrates Canada's 150th birthday. I thought it would be fun to offer these to Rolph Road families so we can show our Canadian pride! These shirts are pre-shrunk and fit very similar in size to a Gap shirt. I do have a couple sample sizes in the office to give you an idea but they also give you a good size chart on the form. Our school will get $8.00 for every kid’s shirt and $12.00 for every adult shirt sold. If you are interested, please return the form by Friday April 28th. School Yard Clean-up: Great job to all students and staff that parcipated in the Annual Earth Day Clean-up. Thanks to all of the hard work the school looks great! Parent Volunteers needed: We are looking for some parent volunteers to assist with Track and Field. Parent would be asked to aend some pracces and supervise events. We are also looking for some volunteers to help with some cycling iniates including trail riding with students. If you can help out, or if you have quesons, please contact Mr. Bryson at [email protected]. Bicycles, In-line Skates, Scooters and Skateboards: For the safety of pedestrians we request that bicycles, in-line skates, scooters and skateboards not be used on the school grounds between 8:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. AND there seems to be an increasing trend in “Heeleys”, these shoes with wheels in the heels seem like a lot of fun, how- ever, please keep them at home. Cell Phones: Rolph Road policy for student cell phones is that student phones should be off and away during school time. Students are welcome to use the phone in the office if needed. Calling all Cooks and Bottle Washers! :) Each spring we have a fun tradition at Rolph where the parents prepare and serve a special home made luncheon to the entire school staff on site to thank them for being such an essential part of our children’s lives. My name is Judy Lau (Mom to Jayden Lau who is graduating this year), and I'm excited to be organizing this wonderful event again on Thursday, May 18th and I'd love your help because I can't do it alone!! This is my 11th and final year at RR, and I can tell you this event is one of the staff's most favourite of the year because of all the amazing parents who help to make it extra special! I'm looking for beverages, appetizers, salads, main courses, and desserts. If cooking is just not your thing, you could consider donating your precious time as it’s an all day effort and I will need prep help, servers, dish-washers, and cleaners :)

Please contact me at [email protected] if you are interested, and inform me with what you'd like to contribute.

PLEASE remember to keep all dishes NUT FREE!!

Save the date and tell all the Grandparents! Grad 2017 will be June 27th with a reception to follow on the front lawn. The students will be celebrating that evening at the William Lea Room. More details to follow
