High precision ballscrews, hardened and ground, with pre-load nuts, offering high rigidity and accuracy. Combined with the servomotors allow fast and accurate displacement and high accelerations.
The bearings support use preloaded angular contact ball bearings, scaled to high feed forces.

The circular and symmetric cartridge housing minimize displacements of the center line caused by thermal expansion. The housing is separated from the base by isolate plates reducing the heat exchange between these parts and thermal expansion of the main structure.

The spindle cartridges are assembled in a ultra-clean room where the temperature, humidity and particles in suspension are strictly controlled.
All the spindle components are cleaned with liquid freon providing a free of contamination assembling. Benefit: A longer life of the bearings.

With the purpose to facilitate the automated systems application on the machines, Romi developed the optional Automation interface. This interface allows the machine to work with external automations developed by the user, in an easy way and with programming flexibility, without logic alterations of machine ladder.
