We all know that there are different types of sports played in different countries.
There are international sports, for example, cricket, football, etc.
This is a sport that is played in India…. Mallakhamb
Mallakhamb is of two types:
Pole Mallakhamb
Rope Mallakhamb
In this sport people generally do athletics on a rope or a pole, also called as a ‘Khamb’ In India.
First, let’s know what Mallakhamb is.
This is Rope Mallakhamb, normally done by girls and women.
In this sport, girls usually perform acrobatic tricks or yogasana, all on the rope.
This is Pole Mallakhamb. This sport is usually played by boys and men. Boys do the same things in pole Mallakhamb as girls do in Rope Mallakhamb but on a khamb, or a pole.
Today, we will know a little more about Rope Mallakhamb.
In the basic part, one gets on the rope, climbs up and does different exercises or yogasana. These are:
1. Cross
2. Natrajasana
3. Stretch
4. Padmasana

This was just the first part. There are many more things which are harder. If you perform all of them, you have completed a rope Mallakhamb set.
Here are some benefits of Rope Mallakhamb:Rope Mallakhamb gives us a supple body,
alert muscles and an alert mind. It is a good exercise for our body, especially
for our backbone. Rope Mallakhamb also disciplines the body
system and helps the body develop resistance to disease.
