To many members, summer without a refreshing glass of sauvignon blanc close at hand would be unthinkable. Our Summer Sauvignons case rounds up six delicious, and deliciously different, examples from nearly every corner of the wine world. Rosé too has become essential summer drinking and 2015 is a very successful vintage around the Mediterranean and beyond; the Rosé Case will keep members in the pink. For those watching the pennies then the three Under £6 dozens (all red, all white or a mix of the two) offer excellent value summery drinking. Alternatively, those counting their units should look to the Lighter Wines Case for a range of wines all 12.5% abv or below. The South of France Reds case features a dozen examples of bottled sunshine just perfect to serve with the pungent marinades and inevitable odd burnt offering from the barbecue. We also celebrate the brewer’s art with two cases of beers guaranteed to please both occasional tipplers and seasoned aficionados.
