Top call of the day was £29,500 for the ’60 reg Massey Ferguson 6480 tractor going to its new home just across the Tamar River. Lot 89 was the John Deere 6430 on a ’56 plate which powered away to £20,500 going close to the M5 motorway in Mid Devon. Lot 673 was the John Deere 6920 going ‘up country’ at £18,600 whilst lot 744, being the 2006 Kubota Digger hit £13,000 just ahead of the 15tn Diet feeder at £12,500 going off to its new home at Instow in North Devon.
Another of the Earthmoving equipment being the Daewoo 140 digger sold away well to Dorset at £10,000, a price matched by the last of the tractors from M/S Mably being the John Deere 6610 going off to Somerset and the sheep race & Prattley weigher sold very well at £8,950.
A huge entry of over 700 ‘outside’ lots sold to a top call of £9,000 was the Superior Mill in from Trevelver Farm Partners of St Minver with others at £7,000 from the same good farm. Tom Wills of Wadebridge topped the consignment of Dung spreaders at £6,800 whilst the 2009 Kuhn Power Harrow from Mid Cornwall sold really well at £5,500. Rundle Welden of Trekenning sold his MF tractor at £5,000 with John Salmon of Newquay topping his 70 lots at £4,400 for his round baler going off to its new home in Hemyock, Mid Devon.
Another smart line up of goods from Rural Excess of Chepstow in Wales made the 322 mile round trip to St Minver and were well rewarded with the best of 200 lots selling to £130 for the Husqvarna chainsaw with plenty between £40-£75.
