It is the recommendation of the Superintendent of Schools that the following resolution be adopted: RESOLVED, that the Roslyn Board of Education approves the appointments, resignations, terminations, elimination of positions, transfers, and leaves of absence as detailed in the Personnel Action Reports attached as (Attachment P.1 Professional)

B.1. Recommendation to approve the following contracts and to authorize the Board of Education President to execute (those contracts marked with an asterisk have been prepared pursuant to a previous award of an RFP or bid). (i) Contractee: Abilities, Inc.
Services: Adaptive Driver’s Education services for the period of 7/01/14 - 6/30/15
Fees: $467.00 per evaluation $90.00 per lesson
Total estimated to be $6,000.00 B.2. Recommendation by Scott Andrews, High School Principal, to declare the
attached list of books to be discarded due to obsolescence. (Attachment B.2) B.3. Recommendation to approve a payment in the amount of $28,141.38 to
Ingerman Smith, L.L.P. for legal services rendered to the district for the period ending 1/31/2015.
B.4 Recommendation pursuant to §1709 8-c of Education Law, as follows:
1. The Board of Education (the “Board”) of Roslyn UFSD (the “District”) hereby establishes a Reserve Fund known as the Liability Reserve Fund.
2. The source of funds for this Reserve Fund shall be from budgetary
appropriations. 3. Monies in the Reserve Fund may be appropriated only for the payment of any
liability related to current litigation concerning Department of Civil Service Employee Benefits Division Policy Memorandum 122r3.
4. No member of the Board or employee of the District shall authorize a payment from this Reserve Fund for any purpose other than those for which such fund was established without voter authorization.

5. The Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to invest the monies in this Reserve Fund in accordance with Section 11 of General Municipal Law and other applicable laws. Any interest earned or capital gains received on the money so deposited or invested shall accrue to and become part of such fund.
6. The Chief Financial Officer shall account for monies in this Reserve Fund
separate and apart from all other funds of the District. Such account shall show: a) the date and amount of each sum paid into the fund; b) the interest earned by such fund; c) the capital gains or losses resulting from the sale of investments of the
fund; d) the interest or capital gains which have accrued to the fund; e) the amount and date of each withdrawal from the fund; and f) the assets of the fund, indicating the cash balance therein and a schedule
of the amounts invested in federal or state obligations.
Further, at the termination of each fiscal year, the Chief Financial Officer shall furnish to the Board a detailed report of the operation and condition of the Reserve Fund.
7. The amount to be reserved as of February 26, 2015 shall be $274,250. B.5. Recommendation to approve a payment, subject to a claims audit, in the amount
of $210.52 to Farrell Fritz for disbursements related to legal services rendered to the district through 12/31/2014 in accordance with invoices numbered 359108 & 354346.
CURRICULUM AND INSTRUCTION C&I.1 Recommendation to accept the confidential stipulations of the CPSE for the
dates listed below as well as the implementation plans for the corresponding special education programs, services and parent notification as previously approved by the Committee on February 4, 2015, February 9, 2015 and February 11, 2015.
C&I.2 Recommendation to amend Peter Melore’s trip to the New York State Athletic
Administrators’ Association Conference, approved at the January 22, 2015 Board of Education meeting, C&I.3 as follows: Total cost of trip amended from $985.82 to $1,120.82 to cover the cost of one workshop.
