Ensure blanking plate is fitted to top of upright and four holes 300mm from the top are coveredwith hex head boltsExcavate foundations as shown above.Position the centre upright on a 75mm high brick (not supplied) in the excavated hole, ensuringit is plumb, square and at the correct height. Support the centre upright in the vertical position.Backfill with 0.94 cubic metres concrete (4 parts gravel/2 parts sand/1 part cement).Allow concrete to set for 96 hours.Bark fixed foundation is shown on page 3.

Remove blanking plate from top of centreupright and hex head bolts from centre upright(there is a nut on the inside of the tube).Return blanking plate and fixings to Wicksteedfor reuse.
Place lower bearing skirt over top of upright- this item cannot be fitted after attachingthe rotating arm assembly.Place ring guard onto top of centre uprightassembly.

Lift spindle assembly & lifting aid and insert into top of upright.Rotate until flats on bottom section fit between bosses insideupright.
Attach bottom of spindle to centre upright assembly throughbosses on centre upright with four off each M10 x 50 HT 8.8Hex HD Bolt & M10 Nord Lock Washer. Attach spindle flangeto centre upright top flange with four off each M10 x 50 SocketCap Head Screw, M10 Spring Washer and M10 Washer. Insertall eight fixtures finger tight before tightening home. Checkspindle is vertical.
Remove spindle lifting aid from bottom bearing housing andprotective sleeve covering spindle. Retain four off M16 nutsand two off M16 washers for later use and return the rest toWicksteed for reuse.

Remove top bearing cover and retaining bracketfrom rotating arm assembly - retain fixtures forrefitting.
Fit smaller O-Ring into O-Ring groove.

Lift rotating arm assembly onto spindle aligning M16 external x M8 internal studs with fixingholes on bottom bearing.
Attach rotating arm assembly onto bottom bearing with four off each M16 nuts (from earlier),M16 spring washer and M16 washer.

Ensure set screws (grub screws) are clear of bore in top bearing.
Place top bearing over spindle and attach to rotating arm assembly with four off each M10 x 50socket cap head screws, M10 spring washer and M10 washer.
Spin rotating arm assembly a couple of times to ensure it rotates freely and check there is noplay in the bearings. If there are problems lift off rotating arm assembly and make an attemptto refit. Also check spindle is vertical and mounted rigidly.
Tighten set screws on top bearing to grip the spindle. Rotate again to check and ensure topbearing inner housing does not rotate.

Make final tests to ensure the rotating arm rotates properly.
