LAST MEETING: 12/19/12 By: John Chamberlin Guess what? This is the last Live Steam of 2012!!! There are no meetings the next 2 Wednesdays which means no Live Steam for the next 2 weeks. So don’t read all of this issue in one sitting. You may want to pace your- self! This week’s meeting started with Ells Bowser lead- ing us in song and the Pledge of Allegiance (Jim Hall on the piano) and Jim Ludwig provided the Invocation. The meeting also opened with Linda Fischer providing a eulogy for Past District Governor Lou Piconi. Rest in Peace Lou! P.K. Weston then substituted in as a “Santa Ray Amelio Little Helper Elf” and ran the meeting. She thanked James Gourlay and the River City Brass Band for the wonderful event at the LeMont. She also thanked Sally Mizerak, Linda Clautti and Lynne Scanga for their work in coordinating the Holiday party. The topic of “Kids Take the Field” with the Pittsburgh Pirates was discussed. You may recall that we did this last year in cooperation with the Pirates where younger kids can go on the field to be with a player for the National Anthem. The group agreed to move forward with the project again in 2013. Linda Fischer then presented the July 2013 slate of Officers and Directors. Each table was asked to discuss the individuals at the tables… their name, work and one thing unique about them- selves. And by the way, thanks to Al Wells for providing the club with Flash Dance tickets which were used for an auction item during the meeting. The tickets went to new member Alexis England.
