6:30 PM “TALENT NIGHT” to be hosted by the Rotary Club of Kalayaan
Greetings fellow Rotarians!
As preparations go full-blast and Hudyaka ap-proaches, let me take this time to welcome all Rotarians in the district. Hudyaka is a celebra-tion. But more than that, it is an opportunity to look back at the past year and recognize the service programs, projects, and public rela-tions achievements. This is with the hope that we continue to Light Up Rotary and strive even better for the future.
Let the incoming Hudyaka District Conference 3870 inspire us, Rotarians, to become more involved and commit to our ideals of truth, fairness, and goodwill. May we never forget the importance of cultivating friendships root-ed in respect and fulfill our mission of “Service above Self”.
With this year’s fellowship adopting a festival theme, it is also my sincerest hope that every-one will have fun and enjoy the merriment.
Cheers to a better and brighter future for us all.
Governor’s Message
Sincerely,
Manuel “Manny” AlongDistrict Governor, RY 2014-2015RI District 3870

Message
My fellow Rotarians of District 3870,
Our district conference is fast approaching. This is the time for our district to showcase our commitment to the ideals of Rotary: SERVICE and FELLOWSHIP. It is a celebration of achievements and an opportunity to participate in the direction of our district for the future.
This year’s district conference, which will be held on May 7-9, has been dubbed HUDYAKA. During these three days, we will reacquaint ourselves with Rotarians from other Clubs as well as introduce ourselves to members new to Rotary. I would like to bring together our entire Rotary family from the full range of our District.
For 2015, the committee decided to adopt a foreign feast as the theme for the Fellowship Night. On the other side of the world, they hold a series of carnival events. This year, we get to experience the fun and excitement of this festival from our own backyard. This year, we celebrate our district conference Mardi Gras style! On the eve of the 9th, we conclude the festivities with Talent Night.
Come one, come all! All this, and more, await you at HUDYAKA. On behalf of District Governor Manuel Along, I encourage your participation in this year’s District Conference. Only your attendance will help us achieve the ideals of SERVICE and FELLOWSHIP. Together, let us celebrate the past and welcome the future. Let us make the event memorable and meaningful.
Sincerely,
Johm Mark F. SarragaDistrict Conference Chairman
RI District 3870

As your Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro mark this year its 67th year of existence and dedicated service to the people in this part of the country, I am one with you in expressing the Cagayan de Oro City Government’s profound gratitude and congratulations to your club’s outgoing set of officers led by Engr. Ferdinand Bernasor for a very productive Rotary year of service to the people of the city and nearby areas.
Your club and members have continually lived up to the Rotary’s motto of “service above self” to help communities and the less privileged sector of society through your development programs and projects in the areas of education, health improvement and poverty alleviation. Your annual Rotary Youth City Officials Program which the City Government of Cagayan de Oro fully supports and is a grateful partner of undoubtedly gives youth and student leaders from the city’s secondary schools the singular opportunity to come up close and experience the workings of the local government’s elected officials as well as provide the participants a feedback mechanism to the city hall administration on the youth’s aspirations, sentiments and expectations.
As the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro ushers in the new Rotary Year 2014-2015 with the induction of your club’s new set of officers led by Pres. Luigi Sarraga, allow me once again to extend my sincere and best wishes to the Rotary “Mother Club” in Cagayan de Oro for another promising and fruitful Rotary year ahead.
