Abbrevations

• ANP: Air Navigation Plan• ISCS: International Satellite Communication Service

• MWO: Meteorological Watch Office• SRR: Search and Rescue Region• UA: Special Air‐Report• UIR: Upper Information Region

ANPs/FASIDs• These documents detail the requirements for facilitiesand services (including meteorology).

• Each ANP includes a section dealing with meteorology,both in the part containing the basic regional ANP andin the part containing the FASID.

• The meteorology parts of the Basic ANP and the FASIDcover, as necessary, all or some of the following topics:meteorological service required at aerodromes,MWOs, meteorological observations and reports,aircraft observation and reports, forecasts, regionalaspects of the world area forecast system (WAFS),TCACs, regional aspects of the IAVW.
