Backing Up Configuration File

Click Security, and select User/Rights…

Configuring a Router as FTP Client, Execute wftpd32.exe, and WFTPD window

Page 19: Routing Switch Basic Operation and Configuration.

Backing Up Configuration File Execute the following steps in User/Rights Security Dialog,

i. Click New User to create a new user, such as target, and set password.

ii. Select target in the pull down list box of User Name.

iii. Input the directory of edition files or configuration files in the box of Home Directory, such as IMG catalog in D disk

Page 20: Routing Switch Basic Operation and Configuration.

Backing Up Configuration File To prevent the configuration file being destroyed, use the copy

command to back up it

Example

User name is who, and password is who. User uploads the file startrun.dat from the directory cfg to the ftp server with IP address 192.168.4.244

ZXR10# copy < source-device> < source-file> < destination-device> < destination-file>

ZXR10#copy root /cfg/startrun.dat ftp://192.168.4.244/startrun.dat@who:whoStarting copying file.file copying successful.

ZXR10#copy root /cfg/startrun.dat ftp://192.168.4.244/startrun.dat@who:whoStarting copying file.file copying successful.

Page 21: Routing Switch Basic Operation and Configuration.

Recovering Configuration File To recover the configuration file in FLASH from background FTP

server, use the following command.

Example

User name is who, and password is who. User downloads the file startrun.dat from the ftp server with IP address 192.168.4.244, and rename it as “startrun.bak”

ZXR10# copy < source-device> < source-file> < destination-device> < destination-file>

ZXR10# copy ftp: //192.168.4.244/startrun.dat@who:who root /cfg/startrun.bakStarting copying file.file copying successful.

CLI Authority Grade

Command Line Interface (CLI) sets the different authority grades for different users, thus to control the command authority usage. Higher authority grade users can use more commands than common authority grade users. Administrator sets the different authority grade to each command.

COMMAND WITH AUTHORITY GRADE

Each command has its default authority grade,15. After device starting-up, administrator can modify the authority grade using configuration command.

USER WITH AUTHORITY GRADE Administrator has right to configure the user authority grade.

The authority grade of terminal is not changed after logging on successfully.

Administrator authority grade is 15.

Page 28: Routing Switch Basic Operation and Configuration.

Configuring CLI Authority Grade

ZXR10# enable [ < level> ]

ZXR10# disable [ < level> ]

Increases or decreases the current authority grade and enters into privileged configuration mode

Sets password for logging on each authority grade

ZXR10(config)# enable secret [ level < 1-15> ] { 0 < password> | 5 <password> | < password> }

Configures user name, password and authority grade of Telnet user.

ZXR10(config)# username < username> password < password> [ privilege <0-15> ]

Configures the authority grade of commands

ZXR10(config)# privilege < logic-mode> [ all] level < 0-15> <command-keywords>

Shows authority grade of the current terminal and configuration information.

ZXR10# show privilege [{cur-mode | show-mode} {detail| level <1~15>| mode <command-keywords>}]

Page 29: Routing Switch Basic Operation and Configuration.

CLI Authority Grade Configuration Example

Set different user right levels for two types of users of the device: Type A user: the highest level is Level 15 (supreme

level), and can perform all operations including view and configuration;

Type B user: the highest level is Level 5, but can view system clock of the device using the “show clock” command;

Type B user can increase its level to Level 8 using the “enable” command, thus it can set the time zone.

Port Mirroring

Port mirroring function copies the data of one or more ports (mirrored ports) in the switch to a designated port (monitoring port).

It can retrieve the data of mirrored port in the monitoring port by mirroring. Through which it can perform network flow analysis and error diagnosis.

Port mirroring rules: It supports up to 8 groups of port mirroring, each can support up to

8 mirrored ports. In one interface board, one group of port mirroring can be

configured at maximum. Supports cross-interface-board port mirroring, for example,mirrored

port and the monitoring port can be in different interface boards, here, the switch can be configured with one port mirroring at most.

Monitor the data transmitted or received by the mirrored port only.

Page 43: Routing Switch Basic Operation and Configuration.
