Only Royal Caribbean gives you the chance to surf on board a ship. The sloped, wavelike surface of the FlowRider® is perfect for beginning, intermediate and advanced surfers. And the surrounding stadium seating and bar are great for watching wipe-outs.

Our signature rock climbing walls are our most popular feature and are available on all Royal Caribbean cruise ships. Whether it’s your first time on a rock wall or you’re a seasoned climber, there are challenges for all levels of experience. We’ll provide all of the equipment, including shoes, helmets and harnesses. All you need to do is bring a pair of socks and, of course, your sense of adventure.

You’ll feel like you’re on top of the world in the Viking Crown Lounge®. It’s completely enclosed in glass and offers amazing 360° views from the very top of the ship.

BRILLIANT FOR SMALL CHILDREN- SO MUCH TO DO! This was our first time with Royal caribbean and was a fantastic experience.

We had cruised previously with MSC and Costa but noticed everythig was a notch up in grade with Royal caribbean from the quality of the food to the entertainment and children’s clubs. We took three children age 1,4 and 6. The eldest two took part in many of the children\’s activities and enjoyed it more as the cruise progressed. One of the reasons we chose RC was firstly they had cabins for 5 and secondly because they had early evening childre\’s club for them to go to once they had eaten most of their dinner in the restaurant...

STUNNING INDEPENDENCE OF THE SEAS

Just back from a Canaries Cruise on “Indy”. Where do I start? Absolutely fabulous ship, could not fault the service or food. Staff could not do enough for you, a special mention to our room attendant ‘Arjul’ he was a gem and nothing was too much trouble...

Review of INDEPENDENCE OF THE SEAS submitted at Cruise.co.uk by: WILLIAMS, Portland on 3rd Nov 2012

WE THOUGHT WE HAD DONE THE BEST NOT THE CASE

Royal caribbean has been out of this world for us, what a fantastic holiday, weather who cares (although it was good) the ship was great. Staff, food, entertainment, ice rink, climbing wall, flow rider the lot, just cant say enough about the ship. The staff may I add, all happy due to the fact they also seemed to like the ship and atmosphire onboard. For me I do not think I would go on the ship during school holidays as the kids would make the ship busy and this would not be very good at lunch time ect but although the ship at the time of year we went was quite full no problems at all.

FIRST AND NOT LAST ON CELEBRITy! Just returned from 14 days Caribbean Cruise on Eclipse. We have sailed on many lines and found Celebrity

to be the best! From easy embarkation/disembarkation to very friendly crew, food amazing... Tuscan Grill delicious food. Cabin well appointed with plenty of drawer/hanging space. We took premium drinks package saving us a lot as drinks + tipping are expensive. We did not feel that barmen shunned us because we had the package quite the opposite. Also had Concierge Class which was worth the extra cost delicious Canapes each evening, fresh fruit daily, flowers and...

GREAT FROM START TO FINISH This was our 4th and our friends 3rd time on the Eclipse

and embarkation was the best yet - on board at 11.30 and in our cabin by 1 pm. Our luggage was delivered shortly after and we were unpacked before we left port. Cabin was very comfortable and we had the balcony door (between us and our friends) opened up to share the space. We celebrated our Ruby Wedding on the 7th of October and asked our cabin attendant Haroldo if we could have some ice for our bottle of champagne which we were going to drink on our balcony with our friends...

Bars & LoungesHere are some favourites:

Michael’s Club.Share cognac in the warm ambience of this club, accompanied by the sophisticated sounds of a grand piano. The deep, welcoming chairs of Michael’s Club make it the ideal place to savour a single-malt scotch or late-evening cordial.

Martini/Crush Bar.The classic; vigorously shaken - not stirred - with three plump green olives. Or, perhaps a trendier “Chocolate Kiss” is more your style. Offering 26 varieties of this quintessential beverage, one is sure to be your new favourite. With over 100 varieties of vodka to choose from and a chic ice-frosted countertop, it’s the coolest place on the ship. GREAT THE SECOND TIME AROUND We booked this cruise knowing that we had issues

with this ship from the last time we cruised on her. She is a beautiful ship and this time we found that most aspects of the cruise wwere perfect. We had an Aqua Class Cabin which was just a step up from the Concierge class we had last time. We dined in Blu and found the menu a bit limited but the standard of food was excellent, the staff were also friendly and helpful every time we dined. The standard of the shows was much improved on those in 2010 - the Ventrioquist was very funny, the Welsh Comedian excellent and we nver stopped laughing an the Bobby Dvaro Night. The staff on this ship are the best ever. they cannot do enough for you and always with a smile...
