Revision History The following changes apply to the 5th printing (January 2014) of Rob’s Passage Planner, identified on page 2 with the following entries; 3rd Edition July 2012 Reprinted with amendments September 2012 Reprinted with additions (marinas) December 2012 Reprinted with amendments July 2013 Reprinted with amendments January 2014 Weather pages 19 thru 25 Weather vanes have been replaced with observation tables for the ten weather locations identified on page 18. A sample table (Hobart) is included below. Each observation location has 4 sub tables, one for each season, Autumn, Winter, Spring and Summer. Observations for each location span approximately 50 years of observations however only BOM qualified observations have been included in each analysis. The total number of observations for each location therefore varies. Each table includes 0900hr and 1500hr observations. Wind directions are divided into eighty compass directions N, NE, E, SE, S, SW, W NW plus Calm. Observations are plotted in 6 six wind strength categories, measured in knots. An integer in a table cell indicates the percentage of total observations for a specific wind strength and wind direction. A blank table cell indicates zero observations for that specific wind strength and direction category. An “*” in a table cell indicates observations in the range of >0% and less than 0.5% of the total observations. Charts (Medium Scale Charts) page 28 The list of recommended medium scale charts has been updated in accordance with current Aus versions, includes Aus 816 and Aus 487. Passage Chartlets, pages 33 thru 43 Lizard Island to Cairns now includes additional passage scenarios, Low Islets, Hope Island. The updated Chartlet is included in this revision history for downloading and pasting. Marine Rescue, Coast Guard and VMR bases have been updated with revised telephone numbers and operational hours on many chartlets. List of Lights: Lizard Island North Queensland to Hobart Tasmania pages 46 thru 48 Updated to Admiralty List of Lights NP83 Volume K 2013/14, most changes are minor variations to light positions. Please note the actual visible range of some lights varies to the official range specification, an example being 2702 Barrenjoey Head. The variation is a result of equipment changes by operators (Lamp) not conforming to light specification. Lights Chartlets, pages 49 thru 60 Marine Rescue stations have been removed to DE clutter the chart and Light details have been moved to the right hand panel. VHF Repeater Chartlets, pages 64 thru 73 Colour intensity has been halved to assist with night time reading clarity. Lizard Island to Cairns, Channel 82 repeater at Cooktown has been relocated to Cooks Look on Lizard Island. The updated Chartlet is in- cluded in this revision history for downloading and pasting. Marine Rescue tables reflect updated telephone numbers and operational times. Marinas, pages 75 thru 106 The marina listing on page 75 now includes a fuller list of marinas with telephone numbers. Marinas with a page number identified have a Marina Map included in the Planner. The updated Marina list (page 75) is included in this revision history for downloading and pasting. Hamilton Island: Includes resent modifications to the marina, specifically new arms H and modified arm E. The updated Marina Map is included in this revision history for downloading and pasting. Bundaberg: This marina has been repaired and modified following recent severe floods. The map has been updated to reflect re- pairs/modifications. The updated Marina Map is included in this revision history for downloading and pasting. Coffs Harbour: This map is missing from the current version (January 2014) of Rob’s Passage Planner.
