SUMMARY
On July 14th and 15th, 1984 a reverse circulation drill program consisting of six holes totalling 167.6 meters (550 ft.) was completed for Asarco by Bradley Bros. Limited. Cuttings were monitored by geologist P. Atherton whose drill logs accompany this report.
PROPERTY
The property consists of ten mining claims numbered L532706, L532707, L545339, L545342, L545367, L545368, L545369, L545382, L554705 and L554706. The claims occupy the N*s of Lots 8 and 9, Concession 3, Bowman Township, together with SE^ Sh Lot 8, Concession 4 and SW^ Sh Lot 9, Concession 4.
LOCATION AND ACCESS
The claims are located about 6.4 km (4 miles) from the town of Matheson. About 1.6 km west of the Matheson corner on Highway 101, a gravel roads leads south for 4.0 km, and then turns west to follow the boundary between Concession 3 and 4 for 0.8 km to the property.
PREVIOUS WORK
The claims have been held by Asarco Exploration on behalf of Cook Joint Venture since 1980. The claims were staked to protect an area where anomalous gold values had been detected in previous overburden drilling by the Tillex Syndicate in 1973.
Since 1980, Asarco has completed sixteen reverse circulation drill holes and one 492 foot diamond drill hole on this claim group.

GEOLOGY
The claims are underlain by mafic volcanics, chloritic tuff and metasediments, cut by syenite dykes. A large outcrop which straddles the line between Concessions 3 and 4 in Lot 9 contains a Keeweenawan olivine diabase dyke 300 feet in width, striking N60 E. The dyke cuts massive to pillowed basalts.
OVERBURDEN DRILL PROGRAM
Bradley Bros. Limited reverse circulation drill is mounted on a Nodwell tracked vehicle, and is accompanied by a second Nodwell used to transport water for drilling. The system provides a continuous flow of drill cuttings to the surface, where they are monitored as the slurry of cuttings and water passes through k inch and 10 mesh wire screens. The cuttings were monitored by geologist Peter Atherton, and drill logs recording his observations are attached to this report. Collection of samples for processing was done by student assist ant Frank Kenny.
PLEISTOCENE GEOLOGY
Where overburden drills have penetrated to bedrock, depth of overburden ranges from 29.5 feet to 128.5 feet (9.0 m to 39.2 m) The upper portion consists of clay, silt and very fine sand deposited from Lake Barlow-0jibway. Beneath the lake deposits, basal elastics ranging from one foot to eighteen feet in thick ness (0.3 to 15.5 m) are preserved. The basal elastics consist of sand and gravel, with some remnants indicative of glacial till. Pebbles in the gravel are angular to subrounded, and are predominantly of local derivation.

BEDROCK CUTTINGS
Each hole was drilled five feet into bedrock. Cuttings were examined in the field with a hand lens, and samples were retained for later examination under the binocular microscope. All six holes bottomed in mafic volcanics described as andesite or basalt, although RC-12 also encountered pale grey feldspar porphyry. In hole RC-11 minor silicification was noted, and the rock contains l to 2% pyrite along chloritic partings.
CONCLUSIONS
A basal clastic section consisting of sand and gravel was encountered in all six holes. Pebbles in the gravel are angular to subrounded, and are mostly of local derivation. Samples collected for heavy mineral analysis may reflect either wave-type winnowing action along an old beach line, or a distrib ution pattern related to till deposition that pre-dates the beach formation.

Report on Overburden Drilling Bowman Township, Ontario
Dear Sir,
Please find enclosed duplicate copies of a report on overburden drilling carried out in July 1984 by Asarco Exploration inBowman Township.
This report includes a descriptive text, location map, drill logs and an invoice supported cost breakdown covering six overburden holes. We are reporting a total expenditure of $6,065.00 or 404 days credit ^IS/Day). We have already applied 41.5 days under expenditure credits to the ten claims involved and therefore wish to apply 185 days credit evenly over ten contiguous claims (18.5 days/claim) to fulfill the maximum allowable credit of 60 days per claim.
The Mining Act Report of Work has been forwarded to the Mining Recorder, Larder Lake Mining Division.
