MOTION

Motion (n) the action or process of moving or being moved

Capturing motion is one of my favorite things to do in Photography. When I see motion in a photograph, I see a story. I am pulled into the image and the moment.

These photos were some of my first appempts at capturing movement. I used Flour and LED lighting to create the smoking effect. It was an absolute blast experimenting with the effects the flour and camera settings gave each image.

DEPTH

Depth (n) the distance from the top or surface of something to its bottom

I adore taking photos with varied depth of field. It adds a very unique feeling to any image. Shallow depth is my personal favorite because it draws you straight to the focal point.

MACRO

REFLECTORS

Reflector (n)Something, such as a surface, that reflects

Working with reflectors has completely changed the way I look at lighting a photograph. Natural lighting is my favorite way to light a photograph and using a reflector allows me to manipulate the light in any way I please to create the desired image.

BANNACK

Bannack (n)Ghosttown in Beaverhead County, Montana

My favorite Part of the trip out to Bannack National Park was the themed series I shot. Photographing similar items really forced me to find ways to be original, and Chairs suddenly became such fascinating, beautiful objects.
