Greetings to all from the Upper Ohio Valley where lthink Spring has finally
sprung. if only in short spurts. In fact, yesterday (15 March), I saw robins looking
for nesting sites, and I saw my first gaggle of Canadian geese heading North.
As you will note in the TAPS column of the newsletter, we have recorded the
final passing of several of our members during the past couple of years, and we
send our prayers and condolences to their families.
We were compelled to drop five members to the lnactive list, having received
no dues payments since 2012 and no responses to our correspondence lnquiringabout their status. On the other side of the coin, we have welcomed severa I new
members to the Association, and we now count 211 Active members on our
roster.
Once again, I seek your help in keeping our roster current ---- if you know ofany member who has died or has changed addresses, please advise Bill Quintonor me so that we can maintaln a correct contact list for all of our membership.
Our reunion in Missourl is just around the corner, and I really am lookingforward to seeing many of you again. Our President and Reunion Committee
have done a great job in setting up sgme interesting activities for us, and I can'twaittotravel again. lhopeyou will consider joining us in 5t. Robert, that you wil,fill out the Registration Form in this newsletter, and that we make this one of our
best-attended reunions.
NOTE| For those of you whose membership card expired in !!lf, you willhave been delinouent in dues pavment for one vear as of the time of our reunion,and you will be subject to being moved to the lnactive List. A note on ouI status with members. Since our reunion in 2012, we have lost 20 members due to
death. On a good note we have gained 21 new members, I from the 40's ERA,2 from the 70's
ERA . 3 from the 50's ERA and l5 from the 60's ERA. As ofthis newsletter we have 211 active
members .Thanks to the individuals that helped recruit new members and note that some new
membets came from the Website and some from a advertisement in the Mllitary maguine.
At present we have members from the 40's,50's,60's,70's, 80's and one from the 90's.
If anyone has knowledge ola database or listingsMebSite of merabers in the years mentioned
above please contact me so I can try to locate prior members and get a membership drive started.
Our members that rvere in the l3th in to 40"s and 1950 to1953 time frame accounts for about 5002
of our members, that rvould indicate the age of these members to be 80 years +. We continue to
loose mote ntembers liom reunion to reunion due to age, and we are not getting any younger ll

''BANQT ET RAFFLE "Most prior attendees remember the Raffle we have at the Reunion Salurday Night Banquet, in
conjunction with the 50-50 ticket sales. Members and others donate items to be given a$ ay during
the raffle. Some will remember the hand grenade paper weights that were donated by member,
Gene Romer. I remember one of the best raffle's we had were when members donated items/crafts
from their local areay'county/slate. I hope members attending the Reunion will bring in items lor the
raffle. Ifyou are attending or not attending the Reunion and would like to donate something, you
