Scholarship Amounts Minimum of 10* scholarships

awarded annually Up to $5,000 per scholarship or

renewal each year Awards of $2,500 and greater will

be allotted in two equal payments (September and January)

Second payment is contingent upon successful completion of first semester and submission of transcripts to Cameco.

Life-time maximum of $20,000 per student, over four years

* the number of scholarships available is dependent on the value of scholarships and renewals awarded each year.

EligibilityCameco Northern Saskatchewan Scholarships are open to residents of Saskatchewan’s north (RSNs) attending:

trade programs, technical programs, or university programs.

All programs will be considered, however, special consideration will be given to candidates pursuing education in the Preferred Programs listed below as well as employee dependents who are RSNs.

Fully completed applications are due by July 15 and must include:

documentation verifying RSN status a letter detailing academic goals,

career objectives and interests a recent colour photo (headshot

only) transcripts of most recent academic

records

RenewalsScholarship recipients, meeting the following criteria, are eligible for renewal up to three times, to complete a four year program.

successful academic promotion as determined by the school

maintenance of full-time student status

registered in full-time studies in the year the award is received

successful summer employment performance, if they were employed as a Cameco summer student

completion of an application form and all supporting documents during the renewal year

Renewal is not guaranteed and will be determined by the Award Committee during the annual adjudication. If renewed, the Award Committee may also decide to increase or decrease the award.
