BIG Gig TENT 12.00 Ruaille Buaille welcome Kakatsitsi featuring Mbilou as part of their international tour. Having completed three days working in the schools and libraries in Lucan, Kakatsitsi and Mbilou now take to the Big Gig Tent of Ruaille Buaille. Their collaborative set will fuse Mbilou’s acoustic instruments and chants with Kakatsitsi cool grooves. 12.45 Kylemore Early Music Ensemble From Kylemore Music Centre, playing music from the 16th century - from some of the earliest printed music sources. Performers aged between 9 & 16 years of age. Director – Eamon Sweeney 1.15 Instant Opera! With a cast of international opera singers Sylvia O Brien (Soprano), David Lynn (Tenor) and Simon Morgan (Baritone), together with pianist David Wray, Instant Opera present a fun- filled action-packed session. Listen, learn and also take part in an opera performance yourselves! 2.15 The Whistleberries Don’t miss your chance to catch The Whistleberries as they bring their toe-tapping, tale-telling, hip- shaking hooley to the Festival Big Tent at Ruaille Buaille. 3.00 Lucan Gospel Choir Always a hit with the Ruaille Buaille audience Lucan Gospel Choir return to this year’s festival for another high energy performance. 3.45 Trad Kids Extravaganza An unforgettable traditional music kids friendly performance with three of Ireland’s leading performers James Mahon (Kíla), Seanan Brennan (Kíla) and Brian Fleming (Percussionist). 4.30 Afro-Celtic Fun Gig Watch a host of festival performers take to the stage for one big play and dance off! 5.00 Groove Killer This young emerging band are an edgy mix of jazz, rock and swing - with a Lucan connection! Supported by Music Generation South Dublin and SubSounds! 6.00 FESTIVAL FINALE Paddy Casey joined by Lucan Gospel Choir. Ruaille Buaille is delighted to welcome leading Irish singer Paddy Casey to the stage of Ruaille Buaille where he will entertain audiences, young and old, with a mix of old, not so old and brand new material.
