PART 3: RUSSIA ON THE MAP.
Russia is the largest country in the world. It stretches from Eastern Europe through Northern Asia. About ¼ of
Russia is located in Europe and the rest is in Asia. The capital of Russia is Moscow. Another famous city (2nd
largest) in Russia is called Saint Petersburg. The colors of the Russian flag are: white, blue and red from the
top.

Russian cognates are words that sound similar to English words and their meaning can be guessed.
Since Russian uses a Cyrillic alphabet you need to sound a word out in order to hear it to guess what it means.
