The 2014 RVJET kit brings a new spar design, which has been designed for easy

break down and transport. It contains new carbon fiber parts and requires additionalassembly instructions.

    • Be careful when using CA glue with the carbon fiber parts. The glue will cure so fast,

that your thumb skin will be left sticking to the part. The CA bond is very permanentand hard to remove. Test fit 3 times, glue one time :) My suggestion is to apply the thin

CA to the CF parts AFTER they have been inserted and positioned. Wait for the glue to

fully dry, and only after that proceed fitting and assembling.

    • The 8.0mm interconnecting rods have been sanded by our workers to match the

10.0mm tubes in your kit. You should have a semi-tight fit between the rod and tube at

the point where there is a removable wing panel.

Insert the two 10.0mm OD x 8.0mm ID 420mm CF tubes (fuselage front and rear)

These steps do not accurately represent the actual sequence of the build process.

Gluing the fuselage from and rear tubes is better done while the top and bottom

    fuselage halves are still open.

    Before you glue:

•Run your FPV wiring through the top fuselage channels

    •Mount your motor and ESC

Now decide if you want to build the RVJET short wing or

    long wing version (1.95m)

The 2014 kit comes with parts needed to build either versions of the RVJET. It is

possible to use the included spars and make the wings interchangeable. This is usually

more trouble than its worth. You have to be aware of center of gravity changes, servo

extension wire lengths, and multiple removable panels. For this reason, we

recommend to choose a wing style and stick with it.

    Short Wing

If you want to build the short wing version, then you must cut this tube:

    2pcs x 10.0mm OD x 8.0mm ID 490mm CF tubes (wing rear)

    Cut to —> 90mm

Securing the wings and breaking down for transport

There is not a perfect wing joiner solution. We find that for most flights, the semi-tight fit

of the rod and tube is enough to hold the wings. You may of course use additional

ways of securing the wings such as: tape, rubber bands, o-rings, or magnets.
