1. INTRODUCTION
Any citizen of Rwanda will have the right to an automatic membership of the personal pension scheme. The
pension account will be mapped to a citizen's National ID and exactly like the NID; it will stay with a
subscriber regardless of where s/he stays or works. A parent or guardian will be free to voluntarily open an
LTSS (EjoHeza) account for a child aged 15 years or less. EjoHeza account for a child will be linked to the NID
of the parent/guardian. Rwandan residing abroad (Rwandan Diaspora) are allowed to join the scheme and save by using different payment channels such as MasterCard, Visa Card etc.
To activate a personal pension account, a person can do self-registration through EjoHeza web portal
(www.EjoHeza.gov.rw) or through USSD by dialing 506 short code or will simply visit a neighborhood
service outlet for registration service.
Service providers shall be able to register user by login in with user name (Service provider/ agent TIN number and password) and follow system instructions; Subscribers’ enrollment can be done in following two ways;
1. Visiting EjoHeza web portal (www.ejoheza.gov.rw), the homepage should display two main menu a. Login Button: this button will allow user to navigate into the system and access more services; b. Register Now: This button will allow user to perform self-registration
2. Through Mobile Telephone by using Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) protocol User will dial *506# and follow instructions.

2. REGISTRATION THROUGH WEB PORTAL Users visit LTSS (EjoHeza) web portal through www.ejoheza.gov.rw
Once user select “REGISTER NOW” button, system will display two sub menus;
a. Local: Local citizen (residing in Rwanda) will select this link to complete the processes
b. Diaspora: Rwandan citizen residing outside of Rwanda will use this link to complete
registration process.

2.1 Local Rwandan citizen and foreigners residing in Rwanda will select “Local” submenu for performing
registration processes through web portal. Once user select local sub menu, system shall display
the form with the following fields;
a. Subscribers date of birth
b. Subscribers National ID
c. Subscribers Mobile number d. Captcha
Incase user has already registered system will display the warning message

New user will provide requested data by following the sequence below;
System will sent a security code to the mobile number of subscriber, incase National ID match with
mobile number.

Provided National ID should be validated from National Identification Agency (NIDA) and if match,
subscribers profile will be displayed into the field. User will fill other fields from the form as follows;
a. Occupation
b. Select frequency
c. Amount
d. Email Address
e. Select Notification options

After completing all required details, confirmation page will be displayed to enable user to review details
before submitting. User will click on Submit button for submitting subscriber’s data.

Once user clicks on submit button a pop up message with congratulations message will be displayed;

User can print the proof of registration with subscriber’s data.

2.2 Child Registration
A parent or guardian will be free to voluntarily open an LTSS (EjoHeza) account for a child aged 15
years or less.
User will select subscriber’s date of birth and in case subscriber age is less 15 years, a new form with
subscriber’s name and gender will be displayed.
Once user click on check button, guardian ID and mobile number will be validated and user receive security code in the mobile number.
After entering security code, system will display subscriber’s profile and complete unfilled
information, as the child does not have occupations, occupation field will be disabled.

Confirmation page should display subscriber’s names, gender and date of birth for child, the rest of information will be for guardian/parent.

2.3 Diaspora Rwandan citizens residing outside of the country will join the scheme by selecting diaspora sub menu
and continue with instructions;
Once user select diaspora menu system will display a form for subscriber to fill required information,
which includes;
a. Subscribers date of birth
b. Subscribers National ID
c. Subscribers Mobile number
d. Country
e. City
f. Physical address
g. Upload of Passport

Once National ID is valid, system will return subscriber’s profile with residence address from
Rwanda. Subscriber will continue filling contribution details. The following information are mandatory;
a. Occupation category
b. Frequency
c. Amount
d. Email
e. Notification Options

Once user click on next button, confirmation page will be displayed with all details for verification before
submitting.

selecting “Print Proof” button
