Threads All threads are BS21 taper with the exception of the FIP UFM saddles which are parallel threaded.
Pipe All of the fittings are designed to fit pipes designed to AS/NZS 4130 PE80 and PE100.
RX Metric fitting range
SaddlesInsert the o-ring into grove and place the top half of the saddle onto the pipe with the branch outlet in its final position. Place the lower half of the saddle onto the pipe and bolt together ensuring that the o-ring seals perfectly onto the pipe. The o-ring forms the seal so any loss of connection will result in leakage. Drill a hole in the pipe wall to liven the connection.

With the pipe inserted – progressive tightening of the ring nut forces the pressure bush to compress the o-ring ensuring a water-tight seal.
Hydraulic and sealing system with lock ring nut – the o-ring functionality and the hydraulic sealing are preserved thanks to a calibrated compression.
Working under pressure – under pressure the clinching ring detaches from the pressure bush in order to reach the correct working position and guarantee the effective mechanical sealing.
FIP Magnum Installation 20-63mm
With the pipe inserted – progressively tightening the ring nut up to the last thread, the pressure forces the o-ring to it’s final appropriate pressure chamber.
Hydraulic and sealing system with lock ring nut – the o-ring functionality and the hydraulic sealing are preserved thanks to a calibrated compression.

Bevel the end of the pipe with a chamfering tool.
Release the coupling nut almost to the end of the thread but do not remove.
Mark the insertion depth on the pipe.
Push the pipe into the fitting, until it reaches the internal edge stopper beyond the D-ring (the mark on the pipe should reach the nut).
Tighten the nut manually.

Unscrew the fitting. Leaving the grip ring aside, thread the nut, the insert and the o-ring on the pipe.
Push the pipe into the fitting until it reaches the internal edge stopper. Advance the o-ring and the insert towards the body of the fitting.
Tighten the nut until it reaches the end of the thread using a suitable wrench.
Unscrew the nut and remove it from the body of the fitting.
Open the grip ring and place it on the pipe, next to the insert.
The fitting is now ready for final tightening.
Tighten the nut, using a wrench.

Note: If you reuse the fitting make sure the O-RING is lubricated with a silicon based lubricant.
RX Metric fitting installation instructions
To ensure you get all the benefits from the ‘easyfit’ features of the Metric range we suggest you follow these simple instructions.
Make sure the pipe is cut square and free from burrs.
Undo the nut 2-3 turns and with fingers pull the O-RING into the outer cavity.

Push the pipe into the fitting past the O-RING until a slight resistance is felt.
Tighten the NUT with a pipe wrench until the NUT reaches the shoulder of the body. The O-RING is squeezed into the inner cavity by the COMPRESSION SLEEVE to create the final seal.
Pipe inserted on to the LOCATING LUGS to ensure positive fitting and eliminate twisting.

ComfitThey are excellent for both blowing and pulling methods. Comfit has a compact profile reducing difficulties traditionally encountered in manholes, narrow trenches and plowing machines. Comfit’s push-fit method ensures fast and simple assembly and disassembly. Push the duct ends into the coupler for a locked and air sealed assembly. No special tools are needed. Sizes available: 32, 40 and 50mm.
Unifit Conversion KitConnects metric sized PE pipe to a variety of existing pipe materials with one fitting. One fitting will connect lead, copper, galvanized steel, or UPVC. Unifit’s modular coupling mechanism covers every inlet pipe diameter from 15mm to 35mm. A large variety of end connections are available from straight pipe, elbow, tee, male/female threads or universal to universal. The compact profile and semi-pushfit installation makes working in tight spaces easy. No need to remove the nut before installation. Unifit effectively seals pipe joints. Built to withstand high working pressures, Unifit is designed for pipe pull-out prevention. Sizes available: 25mm and 32mm.
