Bookworms is the next look for VonZipper’s Optical L ine. Youth dr iven but with a s l ight ly more mature/clever take. We want the images to relate to a younger audience but they should also depict the image that they wi l l make the older customer feel young again.

VonZipper womens 2011 “PAInT YOUR LIPS” campaign video. The idea was to give the campaign a gr i t ty Rock-n-Rol l feel and also come across as a short f i lm rather than just a 30 second brand video. Al l footage shot on Super 8 Fi lm.

VONZIPPER 2012/2013 OPTICAL CATALOG: The Optical Campaign was cal led “Bookworms” and I fe l t that i t would be f i t t ing to design the catalog cover as an ant ique book with distressed corners and gold foi l .

VONZIPPER 2012/2013 SNOW CATALOG: The 2012/2013 snow catalog, layed out in the standard VZ catalog template. I d id introduce using portrai ts rather than hero shots on the specif ic goggle sty le pages.

VONZIPPER 2012/2013 JOHN JACKSON SIGNATURE GOGGLE: I created the Kush Flake Pattern based off nordic sweater patterns for the John Jackson Signature goggle ser ies

2011/2012 Goggle Packaging Re-Design

VONZIPPER 2012/2013 GOGGLE PACKAGING: The goal for th is project was to present a smal ler and more ident i f iable package for VZ goggles. For VZ’s main goggle offer ing I created 10 di fferent boxes for each sty le. Each box is black with a color bar on the s ide for each sty le, and each sty le has a specif ic Spot UV pattern pr inted on i t based off the goggle strap. Below are four examples.

This is the sunglass box for the VZ/Sea Shepherd col lect ion. The large Sea Shepherd logo stretches over 3 s ides of the box, when stacked 3 boxes tal l th is is an effect ive on-counter POP piece.

VONZIPPER BOB MARLEY BOX DESIGN:

The Bob Marley col lect ion is VonZipper’s col laborat ion with the Marley Family. The box is raw recycled paper, with the Rasta color hi t on the s ide.

VONZIPPER SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL BOX DESIGN:

The Shif t Into neutral col lect ion is VonZipper’s eco fr iendly in i t iat ive. The box is raw recycled paper, and the UV pr int cover ing the box is a bamboo pattern which, is what the Sunglasses are composed of.

Arrex was a product ion company based out of South Lake Tahoe in the ear ly 2000’s. Founded by Ryan Baca, they produced 3 Super 8 / 16mm f i lms documenting the snowboard scene at that t ime. Al l 3 f i lms are approximately 20 minutes each.
