The site goes beyond my educational and work credentials by sharing a larger window into my life with descriptions and images that show who I really am as a person, not just an employee.

The site was designed and created with a minimalist feel that allows the user to quickly scan the pages and easily find content throughout the website. It’s exactly how effective websites should communicate messaging.

The site was created and designed with extreme simplicity in mind, utilizing a series of hidden and non-hidden keywords all geared towards increased search rankings for what I’ve described throughout the site as the “real Ryan Thompson”.

Care PartnersCare partners is a nurse staffing agency in Richmond, VA. The owner, a long time friend of the family, needed a serious face-lift for their existing website. She wanted a more current look, something that immediately said “health care professionals”. The above concept is what we came up with. www.davidtowberman.comDavidtowberman.com is site I developed for a former colleague of mine. David was applying for a major promotion at Waste Management. He came to me looking for some advice on how he could best communicate his personal brand. I suggested that he create a fully digital job resume to submit to his seniors. The site, showcasing a time line that I created, displays David’s rise through the company and additional pages that host a list of his “next steps” and a formal resume.

The website was a huge success, his seniors loved it and David got the job!

Social Media - VDOTVDOT is currently undergoing the restoration of several major bridges in Richmond, along the busy I-95 corridor. I was tasked with designing what we referred to as “Social Billboards”. VDOT has posted, and will continue to post these graphics on their Facebook page before each weekend of construction. The concept behind the “Social Billboards” is that they will act as friendly reminders which can easily be shared across the VDOT audience in an effort to reduce congestion and raise awareness of potential traffic delays during the construction period.

High Impact PresentationsAn advertising agency not only has to market their clients, but they also have to make sure they are effectively marketing the agency too. My design skills are consistently called on to do just that. I develop high impact presentations that tell meaningful stories and respectively communicate each presentation’s core message.

The thumbnails to the right represent a small sample of the many presentations I’ve created. One sample is from a recent agency proposal for a growing university here in Virginia. I’ll let you figure out who. The other sample is from a new business presentation the agency gave regarding the use of social media by small businesses in the financial sector.

“Plug Into Your Universe” - Chevy VoltThe following sample is a promotional poster concept for the new Chevy volt.

The Chevy volt is an eco-friendly, zero emission electric vehicle made by GM. A unique feature of the Chevy Volt is the ability to charge its battery by using a standard 120v wall socket. The illustration is centered around this unique feature. Extruding from a central wall socket is a thriving universe with miniature worlds, waterfalls, and plant life. The flourishing environment surrounding the brand logo and Volt’s chassis represents the environmental benefits of using Chevy’s zero emission vehicle.
