For more information contact [email protected] Ryde Wilderness Explorers - Saturday, June 9 at 1:00 pm- Join Ontario Parks staff to learn more about Queen Elizabeth 2 Wildlands Park and our local environment. Because of insect activity at this time of year the format will be modified. Park Biologist Phil Careless will be back to amaze us with his knowledge of the flora and fauna in our area. Bid Euchre-Wednesdays from 1 to 3:30 World Beat -Classes will resume in the Fall. Board Meeting - Monday, June 11 at 5 pm. Everyone is welcome. Bring a bagged dinner. WISE Clubhouse - Friday, July 6 at 12:30 -Free Lunch! Annual Council Meeting and BBQ - Tuesday, July 17. 5:30 BBQ: 7:00 Town Council Meeting. At 9:00 am we will be having a fund-raising plant sale. Please consider donating some divisions to this good cause. Garage and Bake Sale Report- Once again our members and friends rose to the occasion, proving the generosity of our wonderful community. The donations were top quality, the home baking was so yummy, and the work crewfantastic! Great thanks to Janet, John H., Nancy, Lois I., Brian, Rachelle, Sharon, Gerrard, and Rebecca. Our bakers included Lois P., Lois I., Janet, Nancy, Judy W. and Liz. We made $895.90 for the Co-op! An Evening with Paul Kelly - Tuesday, June 12 6:30 to 8:00 Come out to the Co-op and meet Mayoral candidate Paul Kelly. This is a chance to have a conversation and learn about Paul’s goals for our town. Provincial Elections-Thursday, June 7 -9 am to 9 pm The Co-op will be a polling station. Please exercise your right to vote! Foot Care Cafe - Wednesday, June 13-9:00-12:30 Thanks to a grant from Shoppers Drug Mart, we are able to offer Foot Care and Blood Pressure Cafes at a reduced rate of $20. Registration is very limited. Come and have two important services delivered by qualified nurses Katherine Skelding and Nancy Cronin, and enjoy a hot beverage, snack and social visit as well. As a bonus, you can join the free SMART exercise class at 9:30! Please note that the $20 subsidized fee applies only to visits booked at the Co-op; home visits will be subject to full fees. Ryde Knitters and Hookers - Charity Knitting Project The last regular meeting will be held on June 15, when a presentation will be made to the Great Beginnings program. Thanks to a grant from Canada Post, the Ryde Knitters have lovingly crafted donations for this worthy group. Come on out to the Summerland Store between 10 and noon and be part of the celebration! The Ryde Knitters and Hookers will start up again in the Fall if there is sufficient interest.

Thanks to Brian Robinson for these images of our hikers, who ranged in age from five to considerably older, en route to Acorn Pond in May.

Volunteers Wanted for Ryde Heritage Day - Saturday, August 18 - Noon to 4 pm.Can you help us organize this great event? We need people to help set up, clean up, contribute to the bake table, work at the snack bar, help with parking, and organize children’s games and activities. We are looking for vendors and displays. Do you have a vintage tractor or vehicle that you are willing to bring? Please contact Judy 705-687-2406 or Tracy Barkshire 705-715-1500.

Father’s Day Kids Crafts - Thursday, June 14 from 6 to 7:30
