When was the Last Time You Read a Good Catholic Book?

Fall brings cooler weather and staying inside with a good book. Stop by the church library next to the chapel and pick out any Catholic book to read and grow in your faith, knowledge, and spirituality. Borrow and return or share with someone else and pick out a new one. Like Father says, "It won't cost you anything?"

Presenting Offertory Gifts

Are you interested in carrying up the gifts at Mass?

This is a wonderful way to celebrate a family event such as a birthday, anniversary, etc.

You can sign yourself or family up on the minister schedule located on the bookshelf in the back of the church, or talk with the ushers prior to Mass .

Formed

FORMED.org is a really valuable source for learning and is a great on-line resource for books, movies, and videos. Those of you who are regular Formed users have probably noticed that the FORMED website has changed. Go to FORMED.org and scroll all the way down to “help” and select FAQs. There you will find answers to how and why the FORMED site changed. Registering has become a lot easier and parish codes and custom registration urls are no longer needed for parishioners to register for FORMED through our parish! If you are a new Formed user, register as follows: (1) go to formed.org/signup (2) Select your parish (3) Register with your name and email address (4) check that email account for a link to begin using FORMED. Also, the improved “search function” will help you discover the content you are looking for, making it easier to find programs, movies, e-books, and audio books. Just click “SEARCH” at the top of the page and type in the content you’re looking for. Check out the new FORMED.org soon…….you will find all sorts of good things waiting there for you.

1. Go to formed.org 2. Enter our Parish code RKVBTQ on the homepage 3. Create a personal account with your user name/email and password 4. Enjoy Catholic content all in one place.

IMPORTANT: Do not sign up as and individual as our Parish access code provides more content than an individual subscription.

Catherine McAuley Quote of the Week - Week of Nov. 25 “The poor need help today, not next week.”

– Catherine McAuley

Thank you! McAuley’s evening of a “Double Dose of Drama” was a great success, both shows were sold out! Thank you for supporting the McAuley Theatre Department.

Each month, St. Mary’s Elementary School has a charity dress day which benefits local and national charities. For the month of November students brought in gently used or new coats, jackets, hats, gloves, and mittens to benefit Children’s Haven. Our students brought in 94 coats and jackets, 88 hats, 77 sets of gloves and mittens, and 14 scarves, in addition to over $200 to donate directly to Children’s Haven for their needs. St. Mary students brought in so many cold weather items that we were able to take items to Crosslines in Joplin as well. The beautiful focus of Catholic schools allows our students to put into practice the Christian principles, values, and morals taught in our classrooms. Thank you for your thoughtfulness and generosity!

Congrats! Congratulations to McAuley’s Abi Street she was named 2nd team Class 1 All-Region Cross Country. Ozark 7’s Volleyball All Conference team includes McAuley’s: Taylor Schiefelbein: 1st team, Elizabeth Motazedi: 2nd team, Isabella Bertoncino: Honorable Mention.
