By the time you feel thirsty your body is already dehydrated; our thirst mechanism lags behind our actual level of hydration. Testicular cancer. “Ben Smith was fobbed off about the hard lump on his left testicle in December. When the lump swelled and start-ed causing him considerable pain, the 25-year-old was told it was probably just hormonal. " By mid-January, the pain had become "horrific", he had to ask his GP to send him for a scan. It was testic-ular cancer. Testicular cancer is the second most prevalent cancer diagnosed in men aged 20 to 39. It grows rapidly but has excellent outcomes if detected early. Health surveys show that men smoke more tobac-co, drink more alcohol, are less active than women and have a higher rate of depression and su-icide. For Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men in the NT, the effects of generational trauma from being disempowered and through loss of culture are contributing fac-tors to poor health.
