This Week’s News
‘Together for a Better Internet’ was this year’s slogan behind Safer Internet Day which was celebrated on Tuesday. Year 6 led assemblies for Key stage one and key stage two covering online safety and how to manage your online identity. Broome Park Year 5 were lucky with beautiful weather for their walk
across the fields to Broome Park on Wednesday where they en-joyed learning about this historic Mansion and one of its owners (Lord Kitchener). A favourite fun fact was how the statues in the garden became pock marked
and lost limbs. According to the children the soldiers used them for target practice.
Eco Awards
Barham’s eco warriors were thrilled to hear they had scooped the award for ‘Best Green Champions’ in Canterbury. This is well-deserved for their aware-ness raising and new initiatives that the school has adopted to make the school more eco-friendly. Well done eco warriors!
Wild Garden Thank you to the parents who formed the working party and cleared our wild garden last weekend. We are hoping to complete the clearing and cutting back with one more session. Details to fol-low—all welcome.

Brownies in Bishopsbourne
We meet locally in Bishopsbourne on a Mon-
day evening. Come along and give us a try.
Make some new friends, play games, work
towards interest badges, carry out experiments, invent
things, plus there are opportunities to go camping, go on day
trips locally and further afield, join other Brownies on adven-
ture days and learn new skills. Have a look on the girlguiding
website to see what Brownies can do.
