TYPES OF SOUND Dialogue

Voice should match message (tone, volume, speed) Sound effects

Synchronous – match a physical event happening in the scene (phone ringing, door closing, etc.)

Asynchronous -not matched with a visible source of the sound on screen but enhance emotional experience (ambulance when couple is fighting)

Music Enhances emotional experience Foreshadows change in mood

ADDING SOUND TO YOUR MOVIE

Download sound clip. Rename file .wma by right-clicking. File – “Import into collections.” Drag and drop to appropriate location. Adjust audio levels by clicking on arrow.

Pick one object. Draw that same object using the different

camera shots.

Pay close attention to the motion of the camera, the shots and the angles.
