“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeing new lands, but in seeing with new eyes.” M. Proust.
I am a voyager on a most exciting journey of passion. I have previously discovered lands of outstanding service, created luxurious environments and developed a keen business sense. Now I am on an ambitious journey to create a new land of my own. I am just now seeing with new eyes how my previous career will play a large part of my future success. I am able to integrate my love of aesthetic design and the quality education of Art Institute Online with my 20 year expertise and connections in the Hospitality Industry. These elements both will assist me on my quest to find my desire, dreams, passions and goals in my own design consulting company which enables me to have financial independence.

Project scope includes the design, decorating and installation of three primary spaces with secondary spaces that are adjacent or abutting for a recently renovated 1920’s Triple Decker condo unit in Historic Dorchester Massachusetts.
Project timeline is two years starting in July of 2006 with a budget of $45,000 which includes original art and custom design pieces. Estimated completion and final installation anticipated by May 2008.
The owner’s style is a mixture of contemporary form with a hint of Asian influence. Inspiration for the living room is derived from classic Art Deco style with a twist. The directive for the space is clean lines, non cluttered, elegant design with a unique flair. The design also maximizes space for storage while offering versatility to entertain without sacrificing comfort.

“Steven’s design expertly combines every day needs with elegant textures, fabrics, andcolors to create a warm, sophisticated design. The spaces he creates are rich in decorative elements but are always inviting and invite themselves to be used. His ability to get the most out even the smallest space makes him an excellent designer.”
Judy Davis(Long Time Friend and Research Professional for Boston University)
“Steven’s expert background in the hospitality industry has given him an outstanding sense of service while also being able to develop business projects that are both community oriented as well as service based on needs of the people. He is an impressive example of how one person can make a difference.”
Karen McKean (President of the Victoria Street Neighborhood Watch)
“Since my time working with Steven at the Sofitel Minneapolis, he has always impress not only his fellow executive members but also his staff as well. Organizing a $5,000,000 hotel renovation is no easy task and Steven was involved in all aspects of this project even though that was not the scope of his job responsibilities. He was able to provide alternative solution when budgetary constraints restricted the original design to be fulfilled. He not only saved several key element of the design with his keen business sense but he also was able to ensure the highest quality that the Sofitel brand has build as its foundation. I am thrilled to see Steven follow through on this passion in design. He will go far!”
