Name: _____________________________ Rising Grade _______ Summer Math Learning Choice Board - Rising Grade 7 The daily activities in this summer math choice board will review math concepts and skills of the grade that has just been completed during the 2019 - 2020 school year and challenge you with new learning. Just a few hours each day spent “thinking and talking math” will help reinforce your skills. The goal is for you to have fun thinking and working collaboratively to communicate mathematical ideas. While you are working ask how the solution was found and why a particular strategy was chosen. The choice board consists of a 2-month menu of math and we encourage you to complete at least 16 math days each month or 4 math days each week . Student Accountability The intention is that your child spends at least 1 hour a day, 4 times a week, practicing math. Your child should aim to complete at least 1,920 minutes of math practice over the course of the summer. When your child has completed the math activities, please sign and return this paper to his/her new math teacher with the tracking forms and math notebook/journal. Student’s Name: ___________________________________________________ Total Points Accrued this Summer: _______________ Parent/Guardian’s Signature: ______________________________________________ Date: _______________________________________ Directions : Show what you know by accumulating at least 320 points by the end of the summer. You may complete the activities in any order. Document what you worked on using the various tracking forms. Make sure to do your best work! When you are finished attach all of your completed activities together with your tracking forms and bring it back to school in September for a grade from your new math teacher.
